    Other 11/8 Games

LOL, I just saw Noah's comments on the Bulls after their loss to the Clippers. Skiles saying he'd keep his mouth shut if it was his first pro game.. So what he's a rook? If it's the truth it's the truth. The Bulls have no leader, Skiles knows Noah's right.

He said something like "we're not playing as a team, everyone wants to do their own thing." Along those lines.

Skiles basically told him to shut his mouth LOL

        Re: Other 11/8 Games

        Excerpt from the article:

Noah:``I think everyone is, like, in their own world a little bit,'' offered Noah, who was mentioned with other Bulls last week in Kobe trade discussions. ``I think everybody, like, especially on defense, has to be in unison. We have to be tougher. We didn't do that ... You're gonna have bad shooting nights. You have to find a way to still win ballgames. That's what championship teams do -- they find a way to grind things out. Teams are getting anything they want on us.''
The assessment was as refreshing as it was dead-on. On a team of nice, quiet, introverted players who have been shaken by the business side of pro basketball, these were just the potent words one would expect from, well, the coach. But oddly, Skiles didn't embrace Noah's statements. He assailed them, which contradicts the very leadership style Skiles exhibited as a player. I really don't care that Noah was speaking after his NBA regular-season debut. The truth is the truth, even from the mouth of a babe, and Skiles should have embraced it instead of reacting like an offended dictator. Seems a tough-minded coach is starting to chafe from Bulls-related rip jobs coming in every direction, including his own locker room.
``I don't know. If I had just played my first pro game, I'd probably have kept my mouth shut, to be honest with you,'' Skiles fired back. ``It's obvious we're not playing to our ability, there's no doubt about that. I may have a little problem with the phrasing of that, but the point is probably spot-on. Again, it probably should have been someone else speaking for the group.''

          Thanks Born.

TNT's quote from Noah differed a little I believe though. Noah sounded more bold in TNT's version.

Ha, Rip Hamilton looked like he was thinking, "White boy is crazy for going after that ball."
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

I know it's kind of live by the sword/ die by the sword mentality with our perimeter game....but we actually established a semblance of an inside game tonight with Thomas/Noah and Wallace and yet we seem to be doing our best to kill that.

edit: that was a beautiful pass by Wallace to Thomas underneath

wait til you guys see what last second shot Gilbert took at Jersey tonight. They were down two, and Gil wanted a three to win it. WOW terrible shot selection

Yeah I saw that, it was pretty sad. Wizards still winless, just Chicago will be after tonight.

Yeah, I just finished watching the Nets game and Arena's last shot was
                          T E R R I B L E.

He went to the far corner...drew a double...ignored his team mates...was basically falling out of bounds...and threw up an air ball.

                          Great leadership again...not.

If Kobe or T-Mac did that...they'd get slammed here for a week. Yet Gilbert seems to rarely get criticised and he's the worst example of a ballhog / showboater in the NBA.

                          Watching the Bulls game now

Its the 'Brett Favre" rule. If you're an affable, media, and fan friendly guy, you can get away with all kinds of bonehead plays with nary a negative comment against you.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.
