    Players like McGrady, J. O'Neal, Bryant had far better skill sets than Tyrus Thomas. Shawn Kemp showcased an ability to dribble the basketball and create for himself early in his career.

    Kevin Johnson is a point guard that was asked to do different things so I see no reason to even compare him to Thomas.
    OK. So for Jermaine O'Neal's first season when he played 10 minutes a game you saw a potential 20-10 player? If that's the case then you need to be a scout somewhere.

    All I remember is that the first time I saw O'Neal was in his first season in 1997. He was playing against the Bulls and didn't show me anything. Now being that he was playing against a legendary team and he was only 19 at the time I can accept that as an excuse. BUT to just say that 5 seasons from now he's going to be a 20-10 player would have been outrageous at the time. At that time the high school kids started to populate the NBA and many people who watched the game back then frowned upon HS kids. At that time the only high schooler that many people thought would have an impact later in his career was Kevin Garnett. So to tell me you saw something in Jermaine O'Neal in his first year was either luck or pure genius.
