Larry Bird best SF of all time?

Larry Bird did not have the athleticism and could not jump high. Yet, he dominated the game, shooting the 3s, passing like a PG and collecting rebounds effortlessly. He was THE clutch player of his time. I remembered watching him play and he made it all seem so easy. Even to this day, it does not seem there is anyone close to Bird's ability. Pippen is close but not clutch.

Lebron James will be considered the best SF of all time by the end of his career. That is, if he grabs some MVPs and a few rings. Skill and stats wise Lebron will be better by the end.

Right now, Bird is the best SF of all-time. With Pippen coming a close second.

I don't think Pip is close. I'd put at least Dr. J and Elgin Baylor ahead of him.

              Key word man...if.

Grabbing MVPs and rings is not easy.

I'm going to go with Dr. J, especially considering his ABA years, and his impact on the game.

Larry Bird is the clutchest, and I put him at the #1 player in history, He did it all. He made everyone better

Putting Bird ahead of Kareem, Wilt, Russel and Jordan is just bananas.

Not close? 6 time champion and has been on the all-NBA/all-defensive team for numerous years. Ability wise, Larry has things that he can do better than Pippen and Pippen is the same. Larry shoots better and passes better. Pippen is a much better one-on-one defender than Bird. The only reason why I picked Bird over Pippen is because of leadership. As far as ability, Bird and Pippen are closer than you think.

No, not close. Pippen is a top 50 player, Bird is a top 5 player.

No, it's not. You could argue any of the top 5 players, really.
