    2008 Dunk Contest

Jamario Moon will be participating. Excited to see what he can do.

The last time a Raptor was in it was Vince in 2000. Hopefully Moon comes close to putting up a similar performance.

Anyone know who else besides Moon? Apparently Dwight has already said he'll be there.

As long as they reject Nate Robinson I'm happy.

Actually, they need to scrap this up and coming crap and ask some bigger names to participate.

The NBA always finds a way to screw things up.

Yeah I know it gets repetitive, but for the love of God scrap the 3 years and under players can only participate. That's utter garbage. Someone kidnap LBJ and don't let him free until he says he'll participate.

They don't need LeBron per say, and some of it is repetetive but it can still be exciting if they would stop changing the rules every year with bad ideas and stop screwing guys over for height, as well as allowing guys to win because of lack of height.

I bet Moon will open a ton of eyes but overall the dunk contest has really lost its lustre. Changing the rules just about every year doesn't help it either.

I don't really care about the bigness of the names, I'd just like to see some nice dunks.

Rule changes, scrap em, and go back to the basics.

As far as participants, who would you guys like to see? Personally, there really aren't any players who stand out in my mind as must see dunkers. Right now I feel LBJ would be able to give us the best aerial display.

                Moon wasn't a bad pick.

Not even sure at this point. There is a place you can get where you can ruin a good thing, and I think they've done that.

You bring up a good point Dre, but besides that.. the players simply may not be there for this contest. Since the Vince Carter 2000 contest, it's been pretty boring.. not only because of the lame rule changes, but because the we haven't had that next dunker who shuts it down.

How bout the returning champ G$

I haven't heard anything about him this year. Is he injured? Or is he just not activated on the T-Wolves roster. He's definitely not in the D-League.

He gets no burn for the Wolves for some bizarre reason. I'm not a fan of GG at all when it comes to dunking. I guess the bottom line is, the league is devoid of showtime dunkers.

That's not the only thing it's devoid of, but i'll leave it at that.

GG is too low profile for anyone to be excited about him.
Guess its gonna suck this year
