Come on now. This isn't the crack infested DC of 15-20 years ago. New Orleans was worse criminally before Katrina.

Obviously if you keep to the right places, NO isn't that bad, but DC doesn't compare to NO's "other" areas.

I agree. Note that I never defended Tracy McGrady. I realized enough people would be talking about him or against him.

I wanted to bring up why it even mattered that this is news.

And I see comments like, "No one said anything about DC." (I'm not finger pointing, just thought it was a good comment).

But, I feel it goes back to what I said. It's a big deal because it's New Orleans and people are extra sensitive of any negative comments about the city.

If he said it about Detroit then people would be talking about the riots. If he said it about New York then people would talk about 9/11 (it would sneak in there).

It was a stupid thing to say because he should know that people would react. That being said, I don't think it makes him selfish. It just makes him stupid and therefore, if he doesn't want to be in NO then don't invite him there.

Seems like the fans and league got that part right.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

Just do people know, I don't hate T-Mac or think that he's selfish at all.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Well, T-Mac should be afraid. Let's say he's got a bodyguard or some1 who protects him. Now, the bodyguard checks the area and tells T-Mac: "Tracy, it's OK, I got your back". But poor T-Mac will probably shout on the guy: "But I ain't got no back anymore, dammmn it!"
              My Specs:

              RAM: 48 KB
