    Solution For The Sonics

I honestly hope that they do not move from Seattle to Oklahoma City. Because I remember how it was for us down here in Houston when the Oilers moved to Tennesee and became the Titans. However, if they do move here my solution on what the NBA could do.

First of all, allow the city of Seattle to keep the name SuperSonics, the colors, the logo, uniforms, etc. Just like the NFL did with Cleveland and the Browns. Secondly, take the L.A. Clippers and completly erase any knowledge of their team history. I'm talking the name, colors, uniforms, logo the whole nine-yards. Finally, move what was the L.A. Clippers to Seattle and transfer all of the Sonics name, history, logo, colors, etc. to them. It would almost be as if the Sonics never left town. And as cheep as Donald Sterling (the Clippers owner) is I'm sure he would not mind playing in Key Arena. So you folks up in Seattle wouldn't have to worry about him demanding a new arena. Remember the Clippers played at the L.A. Sports arena(which from what I heard was as old as Moses) before moving into Staples Center with the Lakers.

And lets be honest, the Clippers have a horrible history. I mean the team has been around since 1970 when it was called the Buffalo Braves, then moved to San Diego to become the Clippers, and finally to L.A. Out of those 38 years they have only made the playoffs 7 times with the last being 2006. And it seem like eveytime we think they are getting ready to change for the better. They go back to being the same old Clippers. So who would miss them? And I'm sure the few Clippers fans that are out there would become Lakers fans or a fan of some other team. But the Sonics have a great history in basketball hotbed.

So what is your opinion on my idea?

I'm not sure that an NBA team can succeed in Vegas because there are too many things happening in Vegas. It's hard for me to imagine an NBA team that can sellout 41 home games there. Plus, as far as I know, sports betting is legal in Vegas, so it may be a bit problematic to have a sport team there. Anyway, that's my opinion.

Start winning games...Give them dudes time man...They got talent and will more than likely end up w/ a top 3-5 pick...a year or 2 they right back in the mix...Also they need to start Luke Ridnour...can u imagine

        Hibbert
        Wilcox
        Green
        Durant
        Luke....

I say Hibbert cause dont a true big man who wont need the ball all the time...not the freaked out athleticism of Deandre Jordan or Thabeet

It would have helped if they wouldn't have taken a project big man 3 consecutive years. That's worse than what the Lions did with the receivers.

            NBA screwed the pooch.

Clay Bennett and all those other carpetbaggers up there can kiss my #%.

I hope the Sonics keep their history and team tradition in Seattle (like the Cleveland Browns in football).

That's how Seattle fans feel about this. Great response by Supersonic fans to Bill Simmons mailbag.

Screw Howard Schultz, Clay Bennett, and David Stern.

The Sonics are bound for OKC, its really too bad. It wasn't too long ago that Key arena was one of the better atmospheres in the league. I hope they find a way to make it work outin Seattle but it doesn't look good.

I think it's still a pretty solid atmosphere, but this was the peak:
