    Kidd back to the Mavs

    To Mavs:
    Jason Kidd
    Malik Allen

    To Nets:
    Keith Van Horn
    Trenton Hassell
    Devin Harris
    Sagana Diop
    Maurice Ager
    Two 1st Rd Picks
    Cash

This actually works out much better for the Mavs.

Losing Stack and George would have really hurt their depth at the swingman positions.

A lot will rest on Malik Allen now. No one talks about him in this deal...but he's going to have to play a lot come playoff time behind Dampier.

Allen has a decent shot from mid range so don't sleep on him

How can you trade the contract of a retired player?

          agreed.

i was really worried about Stack being included in the original deal. He's an important player for the Mavs. I know they had a "side deal", but Cleveland had a side deal with Boozer a while back and that didnt work out too well. It's good they arent taking any chances with Stack.

This is a good trade for both teams imo. Harris will be a good point guard, but he's a couple of years away imo. Dallas needs to make a run now. Dirk, J.Howard, Kidd, Terry, and Stack is a very formidable veteran group.

            lol i know

Van Horn hasnt played in two seasons. The Lakers traded Aaron McKie for Gasol, and McKie was coaching for the 76ers at the time.

I bet the NBA will tweak some trade rules in the offseason.

MUCH better than the previous offer, I actually kind of like this deal for the Mavs.
              NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
              NBA: Dallas Mavericks
              MLB: Texas Rangers
              NHL: Dallas Stars
              NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide

Yeah...KVH and Aaron McKie officially have the two easiest jobs in the world this year.

"Ummm...can you come out of retirement to make our trade's work...ummmm, you don't have to do anything except cash your $4 million dollar cheque..."

That must have been a hard sell

Seriously, McKie's at a restaurant about to order dinner, "Yeah, I think I'll take the Sirloin Steak, with... " Celly rings, " Hey Mitch, hows it going... really, interesting, I see, sounds like winner to me Mitch, No Mitch, Thank you. Bye, Bye," Hangs up, "I think I'll have the Fillet Mignon instead."

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I honestly don't see why a team would want a washed up PG who can't shoot, and isn't nearly the defender he once was. At this point Kidd is getting by on his reputation. He can pass, but the way Dallas runs their offense doesn't seem to fit with the way Kidd plays, I guess we'll see though. I have a feeling Mav fans are going to regret the day this trade went down.

Kidd is a better shooter and scorer than Harris,,,but Dallas doesnt need Kidd to be a big scorer. They dont need him to fill it up (they have Dirk, Howard, Terry, and Stack for that)...Dallas needs a floor general. They havent had one since Nash left.

Harris is going to be a good PG, but it might be in 3 years. Dallas isnt in position to develop a PG right now. They want to make a run now.

Now you're missing Nash, lol AWESOME. And I
would think it would be hard to find people who believed that Kidd is a better scorer than Harris, you made me LMAO, thanks.
