No, Duncan doesn't say he's afraid of playing anyone. Dirk does, and that's whats amazing to me.Comment

So saying that they would rather play New Orleans than LA because its a better matchup obviously means that he's terrified of playing the Lakers.
Shocking...NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers
NBA: Dallas Mavericks
MLB: Texas Rangers
NHL: Dallas Stars
NCAA: Alabama Crimson Tide
University of North Texas '14

Yes, shocking that a man 7 feet tall is scared to play someone in the playoffs and volunteers his fears to the media.Comment

DRE mavs fans are all the same man.. deny deny deny deny.
you cant talk sense in to him.
Listen,
It's simple.
AS a LEADER of your team... you CAN NOT, say you dont want to play anyone.
I dont give a damn if you had the spurs. you WANT to play ANYONE, especially if you feel you are the BEST TEAM...which every star player should feel.
how can you say your a "Championship team" yet, you say "i dont want to play the lakers in the first round"... how does that even make sense?
this is a classic example of how dirk is not a leader... and these mavs fans are so eager to make him in to something hes not they will sugar coat any word he says.
this dude is a chump and im happy hes not on my team.#SimnationComment

I've already been called every name in the book for pointing it out, so it doesnt matter to me.
The dude has always shown his tail when the playoffs rolled around.
Like i said, if this was in Magic or MJ's day he wouldnt stand a chance.Comment

Re: Dirk: "I don't think we wanted to start in L.A
My question to all...IF Dirk wins a ring, will he still be considered a "chump" as you all call him or simply a "chump" with a ring?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Dirk: "I don't think we wanted to start in L.A
I think he would be considered a chump with a ring. Winning a ring wouldn't make him TOUGHER. You can win and still be a chump. LOL
These Dirk fans can't seem to understand that winning - clutch - toughness are all independent attributes.
We call him soft and they say, "Well he hit a clutch shot" ............... ok?Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Maybe I'm confused but are yall questioning his toughness in terms of injury or in terms of another bamma puttin they hands on him lol#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Dirk: "I don't think we wanted to start in L.A
Toughness in terms of being a warrior. In terms of being a fighter. In terms of showing that fire on a regular basis. Like my K-Dog used to say, "He ain't boddie boddie"
Not talking about durability (injuries)Concrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Re: Dirk: "I don't think we wanted to start in L.A
I would say that perhaps your leader shouldn't make that statement...but then again, the only place his comments really matter is in the e-warz, where agendas are holy ground, and every single word, shot, defensive lapse or any other arguable scrap of information is useful. If T-Mac had said this, I'd prolly be all over it like flies on poop.
In the real world, Dirk has a team of vets that understand the situation without the silly false bravado, IE. AI's comments.Last edited by HMcCoy; 04-20-2008, 10:52 PM.Hank's Custom Collectibles 3D printer/painter extraordinaireComment
