Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
I hope the Bulls management isn't all gung ho in getting talent just because they are from Chicago.
The bottom line is, this trade is unbalanced, favoring the Bulls.
Seriously, if you were Riley, would you pull that trade?Comment

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
The difference between Beasley and Rose is maybe a Jason Williams or Hinrich plus the pick, but Wade? **** no.Comment

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
Does it really matter if they are both from the city of the big shoulders? What if one is from Cleveland and the other is from Ironwood, MI?

And as far as perceived value is concerned, I think most Bulls fans agree that its going to take players to make it work.Comment

Also, Fred Mitchell did acknowledge that it might also require some combination of players to make it work.Comment

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors involving the Bulls and Miami Heat.
Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection? Or some combination of other players and picks?Comment

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
You didnt understand the question. You say this is rampant homerism but in reality acuiring one Chicago player (Wade)possibly means losing another Chicago player (Rose). It makes no sense to attribute any of this to homerism as you did for that reason.
And as far as perceived value is concerned, I think most Bulls fans agree that its going to take players to make it work.
I really don't think the writer was thinking both Wade and Rose are both from Chicago and they could lose out on one or the other. If you knew what the writer was thinking, then congrats to you for having connections.Last edited by roadman; 06-05-2008, 11:13 AM.Comment

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
Do people really think that the deal would be Wade and the #2 for the #1 pick? Of course it's going to have to include other players."You got it man. I don't watch hockey." SidVish"I thought LeBron James was just going to be another addition to help me score."

Re: Bulls - Heat talk Wade?
Anything to sell a newspaper.
The guy writing that is not even a Bulls basketball beat writer. He's just a Trib columnist looking to write an article. He is in charge of the Metro Copy Desk. He doesnt even know about salary matching - Heat just cant trade Wade for a pick. Bulls would have to add players to equal salary.Comment
