Pacers won't make the playoffs, I don't believe, but they've set themselves up nicely for the future. All they need is legit frontcourt players.. or if Hibby can be that.. which I doubt.

And I'm hearing nothing but bad things about Mcroberts and people are saying he's a jerk and he's lazy....Apparently he's been getting abused in the D-league by players who weren't even drafted.....He was purely a throwin to make the deal work....

McRoberts is a joke. Ever since he turned down a spot on the Indiana All Star team because he didn't win Indiana Mr. Basketball in high school I have had a dislike for the guy. He seems like like a prima donna, soft as hell, me first guy and I hope he enjoys his season with the Fort Wayne Madants D-League team. I hope he never sees a minute in a Pacers uniform outside of a summer league Pacers uniform.

Yeah, perimeter defense should be improved with T.J. Ford, Jarrett Jack and Brandon Rush.

So the Pacers are basically doing a older Rush for younger Rush swap in letting Kareem go, eh? Interesting.

Yeah, basically.......Larry Bird got on the news and flat out said that Brandon is better than his brother....I mean we know that but still, lol.....Bird is so honest at his press conferences...He doesnt' hesitate to talk **** about Tinsley, Shawn Williams, Marquis Daniels, etc....

I'd call McBob a lot of things, but unathletic isn't one of them. That's one of the few things that he has going for him IMO.

That may be true, unfortunately for them the Bulls, Hawks, Bobcats, Raptors, and Heat will all be improved and/or healthy.. it's going to be a much tougher Leastern conference this year.

Heh, I hate to burst your bubble, but compared to the typical NBA forward, McRoberts is far from athletic. He doesn't run fast, doesn't have good foot speed, doesn't jump high, doesn't have quick hops and doesn't have an explosive first step. So where is the athleticism? McRoberts doesn't even have what I would call "decent" athletic ability like Paul Pierce, Andres Nocioni or Brian Scalabrine. In fact, he's comparable to guys like Brian Cardinal or the Collins brothers (Jason & Jarron), who all got by with their share of marginal athletic ability while in college but have exclusively become grunt/hustle players in the NBA that looks to mix it up near the basket for offensive rebounds due to exposed lack of athleticism. And even then they all have to use craftiness and some luck in order to create opportunities for themselves to score that putback or go to the free throw line.

I think the lack of Donnie Walsh's presence is even more evident. The Jermaine O'Neal trade, which brings in T.J. Ford, looks silly when Jerryd Bayless falls into their laps only to trade him. Make the O'Neal trade after the draft. I would have tested Chicago's interest because the Bulls can give you pieces that make for flexibility. I feel bad for Indiana because the basketball state deserves better when it comes to its college and pro teams.
