Nice little pot-shot you took there.

Tiago Splitter is a very good post player he could be an upgrade for the spurs I don't know why they didn't took him already from Tau

b/c he refuses to take the lesser salary... buying out his contract will be expensive, so there is really nothing we can do.

You guys are talking like it is already guaranteed that maggette is going to the spurs. Don't forget that he signed a deal with utah a few years back when he was a restricted free agent, and the clippers matched it.

The Cavs are also going hard at Maggette. Don't like that at all...smells like Larry Hughes II.

                    1. Maggs has a jumper, he won't be attempting to play out of position, and still attacks the rack.

                    2. He won't get signed to an overbloated contract, especially this year where nobody has money. If you guys get him, it'll be for the MLE no?

You guys could really use more athleticism + perimeter scoring [also heard some murmurs of Raymond Felton]. Anything to get Wally out of the starting lineup. IMO he's simply terrible and almost worthless, at least on the court [his expiring contract should be enticing]. Not only is he prone to going 2-13, but I don't trust him to guard the average NBA 2-guard.

Wally surprised me..he wasn't as bad as I thought he would be defensively, EC. He makes up for his lack of speed with good size and strength. Refs tend to let good defensive squads play a little more physical, and that helped him here. Our rotations covered him pretty well. I actually would like to see how he'd play with a training camp under his belt, and a little less performance anxiety...he's a close to 50% career shooter. I tend to believe his sub 40% shooting in the last month of the season was an abberation. That said, you're absolutely right, Wally probably needs to go, 'cuz I don't think we can be elite with him at the two.

I like Maggs, but alot of decent scoring guards on bad teams in contract years take advantage of the situation and put up nice numbers. Not saying he wouldn't be great here or eleswhere, but those circumstances scare the crap out of me. If he takes our MLE (which I don't think he will, honestly), I'd be happy but a little nervous. I agree witcha' that his J is worlds more consistent than Larry's ever was, but playing off LeBron isn't as easy as it looks on paper.

I wouldn't be mad at a Maggette signing, but I'm thinking we'll end up with J Posey instead. LB is saying Felton isn't on the market, but I can't see CHA keeping both him and Augustine. I like Felton too...but is he much better than Delonte? I haven't seen him much, I have no idea.
