PF: Barkley
C: Chamberlain

I don't consider them the top 5, but your top 5 IMO sucks...Stockton? Malone?

Anybody that doesnt have Wilt, Jordan, Russell on the list dont know basketball. Those 3 are the only the 3 you could make a case for greatest player ever.

1- Jordan (who duznt wanna be like mike)
2- Wilt (he holds every record ever)
3- Magic (oh so versatile and an excellent passer)
4- Jabbar (great big man)
5- Bird (Fighting irish)


Many guys were excluded and this is really an unfair list. All I know is if Sabonis got to the NBA before getting hurt hed be a top 5 centers, i saw him play and this guy was like a 7'3 inch version of Shaq/Kobe. He was scary.

The reason I would choose Stockton over Magic is that even at 41 years old he can still dominate a game. If Stockton wanted to play another two or three years he could. Hell, he could play into his mid forties easily. Even without HIV Magic would have played until about 36 and been done. Stockton is not flashy like Magic, just consistant. You have to remember that the Jazz have never had the pieces the Lakers had in the 80's. It was a miracle that the Jazz made it to the Finals two years in a row. If they had a player like Scottie Pippen or anyone to take some of the load off Malone and Stockton, they would have knocked off the Bulls at least once.

Dominate a game.... Stockton has never dominated a game. Consistency? The only thing Stockton consistently did in his career is not win titles

Magic Johnson is the greatest PG the game has ever seen. He hands out more assists per game than Stockton and he won 5 championships. End of story.
