It may be hard to fathom but I actually like Kobe
I know It's standard operating procedure to hate on Kobe and he has shown some "bitchassness" during his career, but besides all the controversy I like the guy, and I think he represents the NBA well. I watched an Interview with him on ESPN discussing his Olympic experiences, and It was refreshing for me to see a young African American athlete who Is so articulate, and Intelligent, And as far as the arrogance, or cockiness, criticism he gets why shouldn't he be? He is arguably the best basketball player In the world, he Is adored Internationally. The guy just has a lot going for him, I don't really understand the hate that he receives. I like Shaq also but he has done, and said some stupid things also. I think we need to just give the guy a break, and give credit where it's do. The guy represents the league well. Just my two cents. Tread lightly in this thread topic, everyone.... -

The way that he feels the need to take plays off to complain to the refs at least 5 times a game. You'd be better off having Earl Boykins play defense on somebody than having Kobe on the other end throwing his arms at the ref only to come running down the court and getting a totally unnecessary foul.Comment

Good for you.
But I'll bite. Sure, if the league is all about arrogant adulterous snitches then yes, Kobe represents it quite well in that regard.
"Hey come on guys, look past that bad stuff, he speaks well and is intelligent for a black guy."
Please. Yeah the dude can play ball, but give me a break with all this bull****.Last edited by trobinson97; 08-22-2008, 05:03 PM.PS: You guys are great.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
