Just for clarification, if you are shooting the ball when called for an offensive foul (charging) then the other team gets the ball but no shots. If you're not shooting the ball but just dribbling or passing, the foul counts toward the team fouls so you'll get shots if the team is over the limit.

Re: I Discovered The Lack OF Free Throw Problem In ID 2003
Wally are sure of that? I thought that basically if your team was in possession of the ball and someone on your team comits an offensive foul then under no circumstances does the other team get free throws, they only get posession. I've never seen an offensive foul lead to free throws by the other team, regardless of if you are shooting, dribbling, passing etc. Maybe i misunderstood you post, if i did, my bad.
ps what is the 4th team foul bug you mentioned earlier?Comment

Re: I Discovered The Lack OF Free Throw Problem In ID 2003
I think that the 4th team foul bug is that the other team has to get 5 team fouls before you go to the freethrow line everytime, even if it was a non-shooting foul...but on this game, after they foul you the 4th time, they just stop fouling the rest of the quarter...happens a lot usually but I've been having good luck getting to the line lately...Comment

I'm positive. Played 8 years of organized ball and been coachin for another 8 years. Actually it happened just this weekend in a tourney game. Wish I could remember which one. Anyway, charge on a pass, team was over the limit so one and one at the other end. Rule is true on all levels, only difference is the NBA has 2 shots for everything, not one and one.Comment

Ok Doc, I'm lying...I was just bored and decided to post that stuff.
Just read two posts by you in the last ten minutes and already realize I don't like you. If you're going to post can you bring some substance?Comment

Sorry. I didn't mean to offend. I have a weird sense of humor.
see??
ANyways, arent i right? You never go to the line on an offensive foul. You just lose possesion. I pretty sure this is correct. Sorry for the repy before
