I wonder if the Thunder will reach double digits in the win column this year. They looked really bad tonight.

Great half for the Lakers. If they keep it up that would already be 2 dominating victories for LAL.

The Lakers are pretty dang good. I wouldn't be surprised if we see a rematch in the finals this year.

I think people are giving the Grizz way too much credit. They are not that good. The Rockets just played really bad and are not what they were advertised to be on paper.

That said, once some type of offense gets implemented (you know, people actually moving around), and Battier and Brooks return, I think we can only improve.

Mayo and Gay were both black holes on offense chucking up shots, and THAT is why Houston won (no disrespect tehova).

                        none taken

We dont have any outsider shooters so that is the offense, Gay-Mayo shoot, big man shoot the midrange jumper (Gasol, Arthur, Warrick).

That is the entire offense!!!!, but Ivaroni knew that coming in but said the defense was were we would see the biggest improvement. And we did that (no disrespect Streets)

Yao couldnt score on Gasol and Darko nem
And McGrady didnt post up or shoot over Mayo for 40 points (why, I have no idea).

I'd like to rant on Conley right about now, soooo we dont have any outside threats correct? Why are you walking the ball up in transition as if when we get to the halfcourt set something good is going to happen?

Other note: Good to see Artest doesnt give Gay as much trouble as he used to, he used to harrass the hell out of him and make him look timid. Several times tonight he just shot over him and made the tough jumper

I think it is way too early to say they are not as advertised on paper.

I'm going to wait. Last season they had a tendency to play down to opponents, early last season it took them awhile to find some type of rhythm offensively. It could be just one of those games though...I mean the Hornets are struggling with the Warriors and people expect them to be a top 3 team in the West, I still think they will.

I attribute this game to Yao being off(he had a bad game despite the numbers) Tmac playing one game in the preseason, and Artest playing too passively on offense when he was in there with the second unit...thats his time to shine.

Is anyone surprised? i was shocked when ESPN picked this game up. Even with B-Diddy making his Clipper debut.

Just got back to the game. Was impressed with love overall. Made a ton of hustle plays, outlet passes were beautiful, and had some nice passes. Here is his stat line.

                                19 Minutes, 5-8, 2-2 FT, 4 ORB, 5DRB, (9RB) 2 AST, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 2 TO, 12 PTS. Not bad

Jefferson had 18 points in the first quarter but the ball didn't come his way much in the second half.

Corey Brewer is improving, he is fast on the fast break and only needs the jump shot before he will be a legitimate player.

It was a good game, I'm excited for the season.
