Re: I HAVE SEEN Darko PLAY

all these reports are based on potential. I've seen probably 10 or so minutes combined from different clips of videos around the net. Combined with scouting reports and age+height+skill= the guy has everything. Not to mention just recently he had a game where he dropped like 38 points on like 16-18 shooting with 9 boards in like 25 minutes. Better game than Lebron has ever had, and he plays against highschoolers. I like Lebron alot, but until he finds that consistent jumper in the NBA he'll have some problems. Any kid with that kinda of athletic ability and great passing ability I'll take on my team. Based on everything I've seen and read their's no doubt in my mind that Darko is a better prospect. Time will tell.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

i'm hearing what you are saying. and just to make it known, in case people do get me wrong, i am in no way putting down Darko Milicic. this guy could be great and i hope he does. but you said you've seen 10 minutes of him while here in America, a couple of LeBron's games have been on national tv, not to mention people in Ohio i'm sure were able to watch hi games on local cable.

you said LeBron never had a game like the one you described Darko had recently. great game but LeBron during his sophomore year had a game of 16-20 from the field...41 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists. sounds good to me. i mean...yeah it's against highscoolers, but Darko's not playing against all stars himself, otherwise they all would be over here playing in the league. plus LeBron's played against NBA players in pick up games...just like Kobe Bryant was playing pick up games against the Sixers' players before he was drafted and also with Temple players while being watched by John Cheney. and LeBron's been to the camps that have the best players in the country who have gone onto college or will be. and you say until he finds that consistent jumper, he'll have probs in the league. but very much so will Darko. hell, everybody who comes in as rookies have to develop a consistent jumper. because the higher in talent you go against, the more your shot selection is altered and your jump shot will take a hit. so that's why for both players it won't be a cake walk. i've even said in another thread that it will take about 3-4 years until LeBron maybe becomes the player he can be.

so basically what i am saying is just by me saying all that tells me i know more about LeBron than Darko. all of us do. none of us have seen enough...not nearly enough of Darko. so for any of us to say that we know Darko is a better prospect is beyond me. now an NBA GM or scout might say Darko is a better prospect. then i would be like "oh well fine" because those people have full games on tape of Darko playing and have took visits to watch him play and talked to him. but for me...as a regular person that is not a GM or scout...i'm going with what i know.

Re: I HAVE SEEN Darko PLAY

I have to agree with P2K, I havent seen even a full game of Darko and I've seen alot from LeBron. LeBron just seems to be a can't miss guy. He was consensous #1 draft choice as a junior in high school, that has to tell you something when nba gm's would have taken him first overall as a junior in high school. True he needs to work on his jumper but who doesnt coming into the league? Even if his jumper isnt falling he can get to the hole, finish, or draw a double team and hit the open man for an easy bucket. He can rebound, and has a pretty good basketball IQ for a high schooler. I will tell you one thing, if James isnt picked first that team better be ready for a backlash from the community for passing up on maybe the next NBA superstar and Darko(assuming he is choosen) would have a world of pressure on him, more so than James would have had. James would also be able to fill areanas everywhere he plays b/c of all the hype surrounding him. It's sort of like when you draft him you get a great player, possibly a future all-star and a great marketing chip. As for Darko please tell me what about him makes him a better prospect than James. I know he is a center and all but besides that, I've read good things about him, but I dont know if he is a superstar in the making. It seems as if some people are trying to go against the grain, which is ok, but I really need to see some good data that would make me consider Darko over James.

          Lets see...
McGrady, Mashburn, Davis, Garnett, Pierce, Pippen, MJ, Kobe, Allen, Rose, Odom, Wells, Richardson, McKie, Carter, Kukoc, Sprewell...

          <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

t mac is average at best at both, mash isn't a good passer, davis is a point, kg is a power, pierece is okay just below t mac, pippen not good rebounder, mj is mj we can't count him, kobe is a freak, allen doesn't rebound, odom u think odom passes nope, wells isn't there yet maybe in a few, richardson is a dunker period, mackie doesn't rebound, when carter is healthy he could be in that club, kokuc not gonna waste words, spree doesn't pass

          <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

T-Mac? Average at both? 7rpg and 5 apg for a SF/SG is AVERAGE?
Mashburn isnt a good passer? His average of 5.5 is almost as good as the teams starting point guard, Baron Davis, with 6.5.
For the Davis, i was refering to Ricky Davis, and his 5rpg and 5apg.
Pippen gets 5 rebs per game, and hes playing the point these days, well, actually hes hurt right now.
          Allen averages 6rpg for Seattle.
Odom averaged almost 6 apg last season.
Wells would be "there", if he got more minutes, but hes a Blazer.
Ya, Richardson was kind of a stretch.
          McKie brings in 4.5rpg.
Kukoc averages over 4rpg-4apg on his career.
Sprewell almost has as much assists as the 2 PGs in NY.

Maybe our definition of "rebounding and passing well" for a 2/3 is different. Cuz those seem good to me.

          <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

6.6 and 5.6 for t mac is good numbers for a 2 or 3 but there are expection of course jordan t mac and kobe

mashburn has better numbers then i thought but not in that club yet

5 and 5 is average for davis and the reason he's getting those numbers is cause thats all the cavs have look at his careers he's averaged 3 and 3 yes he wasn't getting the minutes but still hes average

okay pip used to be a great passer and rebounder but not anymore

          allen averages 5 and 4 not 6

yeah last year odom did the but not consinctly 3.4 this year

i agree wells could be there but isn't

mckie doesn't even get consider for this list

4 nad 4 thats not great kukuc doesn't deserve either

spree averages 4 and 4.5 below average

now i'm not saying lebron will come in and average 6 and 6 but after time i can see him average 8 and 8

If you would read more carefully, you would see that he said "Allen averages FOR SEATTLE, which he does. His stats since joining Seattle are 25.4 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 6.2 APG. Way up from his #s from Milwaukee. And why do you have to disagree about everything?
