      Let me just say this--

The window is NOT closed. But if Porter and Kerr stay longer than two more weeks, things will get very bad.

Suns went the wrong route of making this team a halfcourt style team. Nash is highly effective playing in an uptempo style where pushing the ball at every is required. Kerr made a horrible decision to get rid of D'Antoni, and change the whole philosophy of the Phoenix Suns. The end result is now the Suns are not very good offensively, and still not good defensively. In no man's land which with a veteran team is not a good place to be.

Won't Nash be like 40 years old and with a bad back? I wouldn't risk too much money involved in a slowing, old Nash with back problems.

Is Nash the kind of guy who will pull a Payton/Malone and take a huge pay cut to play on a championship-caliber team?

Closed. I would expect a trade at the deadline shaking up the Suns. Mismatched roster.

I can't even talk about this I am so disappointed.

He probably wouldnt need to take that big of a paycut but im sure he'd take less when his contract is up to win a ring or a chance at one.

He mentioned it this past summer, so he's been thinking about it in the least.

                    1. If the Knicks are going to acquire any Suns, it'll be Shaq for the contract.

                    2. The Suns'/Nash's window closed when Amare was suspended against the Spurs.

yes Nash windows is closed thanks to steve kerr and jerry porter. If when he was in dallas he ran a run and gun offense its in his blood man. But i think he will traded this season or next because he know the un are not even contenders. I cant believe they think shaq was key to make contenders what a freaking joke.

Re: Has Nash's window with the Suns closed?

first of all, Shaq has been the best player on the Suns team so far.

Nash is still as good as he's been in the past, but no one cuts anymore. Amare pops on picks now and shoots jumpers. Bell has lost his edge. Diaw seems lost and is way too timid. The offense as a whole is stagnant with no movement like they used to have.

As much as Porter seems like a nice guy, he doesn't seem to know how to coach at all. Their offense is really bad

                          I think it's definitely closed.

It just shows how small some windows are...you were pre season favourites last season.

Teams have to grab opportunity when it comes. The Suns simply didn't.

                          Nor did the Kings...

Or the Jazz of Stockton and Malone...

All their windows shut before we even realised it.

Why the suns didn't go after Avery Johnson who is experience and a damn good coach. Instead they make terry porter in charge and he doenst what the hell he is doing

Yeah it hurts, this team needs to blow up after this year. If we are going to keep Amare in 2010 (which i doubt) then we have to do something drastic this year.

I don't see how this old team is going to compete with any team that is remotely good.
