I question the timing of the deal, too.

Seemed like we were starting to get into a bit of a "better flow" with the win against the Jazz and Bucks, but have still looked terrible overall and we're still trying to get things to work. Now you pull off a deal like this, a few hours before a HUGE game against your biggest rival, who happen to be leading your division by a wide margin and that is on national TV (where the Suns have absolutely FAILED in 2008).

So that amounts to no Shaq, no Raja, no Boris, and no J-Rich against arguably the best team in the league in a game thats on the road, and is absolutely huge for an early season matchup.

Let's start a petition to have the Tar Heels and Bobcats just switch.

Bobcats can finish 3rd or 4th in the ACC
UNC will fight for the 7-8 spot in the East

Larry Brown loves Raja Bell, even back in their days together in Philly. Even though LB wasn't the one who pulled the trigger on this deal, I bet he had his fingerprints all over it happening.

Exact first thing I thought when I saw this deal on ESPN...Raja has been reunited w/ Larry.

Nah... we are going to have them for a while that was one of the things that was in the deal with us getting the Bobcats. I think that deal gives us the team for like twenty years. Im not sure what it was exactly. One thing I do know is that we need to get rid of Jordan like yesterday!

Which essentially means we can continue to expect trades like this from the Bobcats for many, many years to come...

Phoenix made out w/ a steal, added a superstar, and didn't have to part w/ much at all. Bell is a nice complimentary player, and is primarilary known for his D and 3. But if the rest of the team isn't really committed on the defensive end then what is the point of having one player whose primary strength is being a stopper, but doesn't really do much for you on the offensive end.

Rich can go out and get you 25 almost any given night, and I'm excited to see what he can do playing along side of Nash, Amare, and Robocop.

Well at least I have the Panthers to be excited about .

Like I said, I liked J-Rich alot but he and Crash never meshed well.....and Crash is a Larry Brown type of player. Turns out that intentions to trade Wallace were just a smokescreen. If you had to get rid of one, then I agree with getting rid of J-Rich.

But for Diaw?...he's only rebounding 3.2 a game and he's 6'9. And then we lose valuable insurance in Dudley if Diaw doesn't work out. Bell and his abilities are the only saving grace of this trade.

Don't really like the deal for either team, especially the Bobcats.

Although if it works out, Suns can get the better part of it because not much is happening with either Bell or Diaw.

Good observation Jukeman. 2 things Bobcats desperately need defense and rebounding. And who knows, maybe Bell and Diaw will excel with the change of location. Stranger things have happened.

Plus, I don't think the Bobcats are done dealing yet.

I was thinking the samething at least we got the Panthers. I was really hoping the could get rid of May and Morrison as well. I knew that they were going to part with either Wallace or Richardson & like you I would rather keep Crash.

I will defend MJ to the death about him being the GOAT on the court.

On the other hand, he has got to be the worst GM, VP, talent evaluator, etc, etc, etc....like......ever. Does he seriously smoke up before he makes his front office decisions??

I think it's a decent deal though. I don't rate J-Rich (never been a winner) and I do rate Diaw.
