lol coulda predicted that. I for one can't stand KG's lack of control. I also can't stand when people say KG is the MVP of the C's. Best defender or not... Pierce is the man of that team.

Although there was already a KG thread going on this one can stay because its not about a specific event but Ill give a couple of thoughts

As I said, anything that could be taken as a tech should be handled by the NBA and their own failure to do so is the real problem, just as they could've prevented that fight between HOU and PHX had the ref called the foul that happened 3 feet in front of his face.

That said, I saw a quote that sums up my feelings on that site

I wholeheartedly agree and Deke got a bad wrap from Stern.

Also, KG is not ruining the NBA, and what he does is not classless. Classless is what the Pistons did after Chicago finally knocked them out of the playoffs and they walked off the court in unison without shaking hands congratulating or not even acknowledging the team even in interviews.

Is there nothing else for pundits to talk about other than this? The Spurs are back on the road, the Cavs are having an amazing 1st half season, the Lakers and the Celtics are wrecking shop, The Nets have an amazing PG, PHX is re-tooling. coaches are being fired, teams like Utah and HOU are getting back to form, Danny Grainger is balling, Dwyane Wade is looking like a true MVP candidate since his injuries ......

and all we can keep coming up with is KG clapping and screaming?

KG is clearly their MVP. They are a defensive juggernaught and it all came from the moment he arrived.

They are built around D...and it all comes from him.

KG is a 7'0 jump shooter.

All I can say is I watch him and he is perfect as a second or third banana. This is Paul Pierces team and as he goes so goes the team.

KG is very good and when he isn't relied on to be the man he is absolutely great playing the role he does for the Celtics. It is a perfect situation.

Paul Pierce walks the walk and KG talks and talks and talks....

I'm glad more people are starting to see KG's BS. This may not be on the level of the what the Pistons did that year to the Bulls, but still classless none the less, you cannot argue that. Trash talk of any kind is classless. KG's just goes too far w/it & likes to pick on scrubs, bench players or rookies... I wonder why..(/sarcasm). If it were more like the MJ/Bird type of trash talk, like the article states, where it was more of a mind game/playful thing, I think this wouldn't be much of a discussion, but it's not like that at all.

I used to like KG while he was in Minny, yeah he still had kind of an ego trip in Minny as well, but he has taken it to a whole nother level since he's got to Boston & then won his ring. I for one, have lost all respect for the guy, he's gone to from my faves list to the top of my most despised since his move to Boston, & I can guarantee, it has nothing to do with the team he plays for now, I don't hate Boston at all.

Because Perk is a better one on one defender in the post and is stronger. KG is the best help defending big man and gets everyone on the same page all the time, that's why he's a defensive player of the year.

I think that people who are taking this to the extreme of "I have lost all respect for KG since he has been on the Celtics" are slightly biased in that if he was doing the exact same thing but still in Minny it wouldn't be discussed. There is an element of jealousy/hating on the top dog here and that is undeniable. It's the same as me not admitting it's that bad whereas if he was still on Minny doing it to my Celtics I would say the guy is a clown. But having seen him on a consistent basis, I have come to accept this is just who the guy is, and it's not that he is actually picking on scrubs or anyone in particular, the guy is just nuts. It's a good and bad thing, but mostly good for this team so I'll take it, and hopefully another championship or two as well.

To say he's soft for shooting jumpers is stupid... he shoots them because he's freakin money and basically un-guardable.

The Celtics defense is moreso credited to Tom Thibodeau than it is KG

He was the one who changed the defensive philosophy in Boston coming from Houston under JVG.

KG wasn't winning titles until he was teamed up with Pierce. All I can say is Pierce is the guy hitting the game winning shots. KG is the guy hedging on screens. KG looks like a role player to me.
