      Re: Anthony Randolph

However you guys want to slice it, Brown will be riding a bench as long as he is in the league.

      Bayless and Critt will not.

So call them whatever you please.

I'm not pulling back on him yet. I don't remember what I said, but I still see him getting muscled and dunked on, and not much else, so until then I stand by whatever I said about him when Tim Thomas had his way with Randolph, dug his grandmother's bones up and had his way with them too.

I agree on the point about Bayless though. 6'3 combo guards are in no short supply. Though Crit looks like a pure point. SGs who play defense are not a dime a dozen, sadly enough. Guys who can finish on the break and play defense are very useful in the L.
he gets dunked on because he tries to block everything...that will happen. Its not like hes some stiff just getting banged on left and right.

he also does his fair share of dunking ON people as well.
Lamar got some last night...(almost twice but kobe came thru with the ill defense)

btw hes 19 years old and still needs to get stronger and work on his body.
obviously there will be times when he is out muscled by a stronger player.

That's also true. For me, when I agree with the assertion that Brown could be "nice"(as in, a "nice pickup for cheap" which is how I read it), I see him as a very easy piece to fit into a good program. You know exactly when to bring him in and make him effective. Guys like Bayless kinda need a lot of minutes, like Ben Gordon, but then they are too small to defend, can't run the point well, and are only good when they are really scoring for you. Sometimes it works out, sometimes not.

I really don't want to put Crit into this because he's a young point guard, and it can take longer for those guys to figure the game out because of added responsibilities of the position, especially when they don't get to play for 1 coach, or under a veteran guard for a long time.

I'm not saying he can't be a starter in the league, or even a good contributor, but I don't think he's the future by any stretch. I don't see a team building around him. But he is young, so his game will change a lot before it's all said and done.

thats pretty much what i was saying when i said hes nice.

He reminds me of a smaller ariza. and ive ALWAYS liked Ariza.
I like dudes who are extra athletic and who play defense.

and forwards who have all around basketball ability

Put me in the "Thought he was gonna cry" group. I thought he was welling up, but it seems that is how "intense" he is. Strange way of showing intensity, if you ask me. Nonetheless, he's got a nice game. He's finally getting some minutes.

That's the same with Jarrett Jack. JJ would miss a free throw then roll his eyes like a little kid or when he made a turn over he'd have his pouty face. Damn grown *** men looking like my little cousins, makes me wanna smack them.

DAMN I wish Ostertag was still in the league. He'd be a lock for that Center spot.

                            EDIT: Kwame Brown!
