Re: AI in 2009-2010?
its not a.i.'s fault that sheed is m.i.a, rip had a pity party for a while, and Stuckey is looking like he's on the verge of being overrated. Detroit pulled the gun too fast to put the franchise on the shoulders of a "maybe all star player(Stuckey)". Im sure A.I. still wants "it" but its probably hard playing against an opponet and some of you teammates (RIP, Stuckey) at the same time.Xbox Live- YoKnos

The Warriors.. nahh they have enough guards. They won't have any money available.
I was thinkin Philly too, but iono.
It would be sad to see him go to a team not in contention.Comment

I think it's going to be the Bobcats for several reasons:
reunite with Larry Brown
they could use a No. 1 scoring option since they traded Richardson
would help sell tickets for a team that needs itComment

Re: AI in 2009-2010?
The guy came to Philly w/ his NBA career in a wheelchair.
He held Philly's CAP hostage during his Sixers tenure.
To make Iverson the scapegoat of Detroit's demise is hardly fair. I mean Sheed, Prince, Hamilton, and Stuckey are much more inconsistent scorers than Iverson - having Wallace, Stuckey, and having had Hamilton on my fantasy basketball teams and tracking their boxscores I know this to be fact.
There are many problems with the team and the players, but putting it all on AI is just unfair.
You got a rookie coach, 2nd year pg, no rebounding, no team leader.
These are the real problems, not Allen Iverson.
My problem with AI is that he has probably lost some of the fire and passion he has been known for. Sometimes I get the impression he doesn't care anymore. I'm mad he doesn't have the guts to come in front and be vocal..f@#$% this fitting in and just be AI.
I heard an interview with Dumars today. He said that he (AI) is doing everything he has been asked for, but what else he can say.
For the record, there was a daily dime done by ESPN reporting about the AI deal a month or so after it happened.
AI speciffically stated that he wasn't there to be the leader. He said it was Rodney Stuckey's time now, and it was about getting Stuckey ready.
Why would AI become the leader by default for a team whose made it the ECF so many times in recent years, and has practically that same core entact?
Philly. He will be back there. Louis Williams isn't quite ready. Andre Miller looks like he will be traded. AI fits in perfect with the running Sixers and it makes a lot of sense for both sides.
Philly needs someone to take end of quarter/game shots.
AI is a 25-34 minute a game 16-22ppg scorer nowadays. So I think he is a different fit than we usually think of AI....age is the greatest equalizer.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment
