a 2009-2010 and beyond NBA Finals of the Blazers and Cavaliers?

I know people talk about different ages of basketball and such, but I'm talking about completely different.

All the talk is that teams, in this off season are going to be sellers, big time, to get under the Cap. There are two teams, at the moment, who seem that this will have no effect on whatsoever and that's the Blazers and Cavaliers.

The Blazers and Cavaliers. According to David Aldridge, the Blazers and Cavaliers are going to be the only two buyers in a sellers market this offseason. Couple that with the fact that both teams seem to have a very good core that they can build on, it's reasonable to say that both teams have a potential dynasty on their hands.

In a round about way, I'm saying, are we going to see a new decade dominated by two teams? By all accounts, if the Cavaliers keep LeBron, they'll always be contenders, and the Blazers have the talent and the money to keep themselves on top.

I guess it's way too far ahead to predict, but IMO, it seems fairly likely.

Who has a better future than Portland? Tons of talent, an owner who wants to spend...yeah, I'd say they have as good a shot as any.

Whoever has LeBron has a legit chance at a Dynasty.

So your basically saying that either starting next season the following, the Cavs-Blazers will be meeting in the Finals a few times?

I guess Timmy, Pop, Phil, Kobe might as well plan their retirement conferences the day after their seasons end.

But yea, IMO I don't see either team being a dynasty any time soon. Hell, in this day and age of Sports you rarely see that many dynasties being formed and I think the Spurs are going to be the last one we see for a while in the NBA.

Also gotta take into account the current economy since it seems that it's having a significant impact on Owners and their pocketbooks.

Why is everyone attacking the dynasty statement? All the guy said was they COULD be future dynasties and he gave his reasons. The fact that Portland hasn't made the playoffs is irrelevant to the man's point. He's saying they're the only two teams that will be buying this offseason as opposed to selling, so they will improve while other teams will probably become a little worse, which makes perfect sense.
Also, why wouldn't Cleveland become a dynasty? If James stays and they add a power forward, there's no reason they can't be very good for many years to come.

I don't see Portland taking over the Lakers anytime soon. The Lakers will never become sellers instead of buyers. That is one team you don't have to worry about cutting cost. They are going to sell out every home game regardless and Buss isn't going to become cheap anytime soon. Plus they already have a better team in place for at least the next couple of years.
