Yea now...w/ hindsight being 20/20
Wow...I wish that you could've been an adviser to Billy King back in 2005 when Philly signed Dalembert.
When they signed him to a 6yr/$64mil deal it was based on his 'potential'.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Which Players Have the Most Overrated POTENTIAL In The NBA???
Nobody EVER saw him as more than a shot blocker/rebounder.
Yea they paid him based on his POTENTIAL, but that doesn't mean they thought it was THAT HIGH.
I don't know, I just attribute that $ he got to EVERYONE being overpaid forrealConcrete evidence/videos pleaseComment

Oden? I would enjoy to see you're face when we win the championship in the next 1-3 years with Oden being our anchor.
This is gold.
Oh yeah
Beasley...Hes undersized to play the PF position...And he lacks speed and outside ability at the SF. He will be average throughout his career unless he works hard on his game..Last edited by ProjectRipCity; 02-24-2009, 03:04 PM.Comment

Re: Which Players Have the Most Overrated POTENTIAL In The NBA???
No, he shoots 40% from 3, 45% from the field, 77% FT and routinely beats his man off of the dribble, so it must be wrong. All hail the truth.
If Beasley is a failure in this league, or even average, it's because of his lack of mental toughness, not for any talent related reasons.Comment

Beasley is way more explosive than Dirk athletically. He has long arms and can really get around his opponents with a very quick first step. Dirk is an impressive basketball player, but an underwhelming athlete.
I think with Beasley its all mental. Looking at his assist and rebound numbers, it's just disgusting. That's a guy hanging around the perimeter waiting for the ball. Not a good look.Comment

He refuses to bang down low. I don't know if it's because he's weak or just doesn't want to do it, but he's never going to be the beast he was supposed to be unless he adds that strength/low post game.Too Old To Game Club
