for a team maybe but not league wide....I love MJ and what he did for the sport, but the nba has been treating him like he invented the game...just let him retire in peace.

In a sense he turned the NBA into the global sport it is today. W'out him, today's players would not be making the ridicolous amount of money they are making. He opened so many opportunities beyond the basketball court and is a pioneer. He has impacted the league like no other player ever has or probably never will. Why shouldn't they honor him?Comment

He was considered arguebly, the greatest of all time. I think many skeptics dropped the "arguebly" after his '98 retirement. But for many of you younger guys in here, his career from 1984-1993 was like nothing ever seen before or since. FYI: He had a career avg of 32.3ppg after his 1st retirement on October 6, 1993.Comment

Re: All Jordan Talk . . .
As the statue sitting outside the United Center says "The Greatest there ever was, the Greatest there ever will be..."
...I've bought 4 pair of new Air Jordans in the last 4 weeks, the 2 pair of the IX's, and 2 pair of blk/wht XI's (my favorite shoe ever)...
