Re: 3/9 to 3/15 NBA Discussion Thread
Well if the Heat can keep playing like they've been playing, it might be a damn near lock for Wade to win the MVP. The only knock on Wade is that his team is average and LeBrons/Kobes team is a 50 win team right now and the 1 seed in their respective conferences. But right now the Heat are 36-29. If they can continue that, and get maybe 46-48 wins, Wade is the MVP.Indianapolis Colts

Re: 3/9 to 3/15 NBA Discussion Thread
Yeah, the MVP has to come from a top four or five win team in the league. 4-8th seeds just don't get it. Barkley said it best:"It's not fair. Some guys do get cheated. If it was for the best player, Kobe would have gotten it the past five years or so. The MVP has to come from a winning team."
Kenny also made a good point, which has been discussed here. There is something to be said for Kobe and Lebron putting up those numbers while guys like Mo and Gasol are also getting their numbers. Some guys had to sacrifice their numbers in a big way in order to win, but Kobe and Lebron are doing both.
At the end of the day, the MVP has to be a representation of winning in the league, not just individual skill.Comment

Re: 3/9 to 3/15 NBA Discussion Thread
That's a problem.
I know Butler has played relatively well this year, but to have Butler and Julian Wright in the starting lineup, as well as Sean Freakin Marks at times to start.. I'm amazed they're where they're at right now.. and I can't be surprised when they get down in games they shouldn't. Peja can't stay healthy.. ugggh.Comment
