The Lakers have looked horrible for a while now

Sure they may have the deepest team in the league but the gap isn't as wide as people make it out to be

Man woulda had a oop if Barry threw a good pass up.

Also woulda had one on a fast break but they fouled him, guess they didn't want the loss rubbed in by some nasty 360 dunk.

Amare Stoudemire (detached retina) said he will wear goggles when he returns to the NBA next season, and he doesn't expect his eye injury to affect the way he plays the game, the Associated Press reports.
Spin: "As long as I've got eye protection, I should be OK," he said, "still play aggressive, explosive and just active. That shouldn't change anything." Stoudemire got poked in the eye during training camp and briefly wore goggles after that, but discarded them when he was assured that another eye injury was unlikely. He was injured again, though, a month ago, suffering a detached retina that ended his season.

Sorry, not a huge basketball fan but saw this in the onion and thought it was pretty funny:

CHARLOTTE, NC—The Bobcats' locker room exploded with joy and relief Sunday when coach Larry Brown informed the team that they had defied expectations by squeaking into the National Invitational Tournament and would face off against Division 2 powerhouse West Virginia in the first round. "I knew we wouldn't be going to the Big Dance, but there's no shame in going to the NIT," Bobcats standout Raja Bell said. "We know we're considered the third-best team in North Carolina, but that just gives us more motivation. If we play well, and carry that into next season, the 2010 NCAA tournament isn't out of the question." As of press time, the Bobcats were trailing West Virginia 32-47.

LOL @ the argument comparing Wade with Stuckey.

"I have the same body type as Allen Iverson. You don't see anybody comparing me to Allen Iverson." - Jeff Van Gundy.

                          Poor Wade.

DET is missing 3 starters and is in the game and actually winning.
