LeBron is a great player, but that kind of crap pisses me off. The man wasn't even driving to the basket, he was 20 feet from the hoop and throws himself into a stationary player and gets the call. Garbage call by these refs.
I gotta give props to Lee for keeping his left toe on the floor, but his right was clearly off the ground, and he didn't throw his hands up until the shot was already off. He went into Bron's chest expecting the fadeaway. It was a foul, tho a weak one. If you've DVR'd that game, play it in slow mo and you will see it.

No was any rook in this league gonna get that call against any elite player. Good contest by Lee, though. In the playoffs thats a no-call.

Great game, great defense down the stretch.

I got Tivo and watched it a few times, it still didn't look to me like a foul you need to call at the end of a tightly contested match. Even if it was midway through the 2nd, I still don't like that call. Defense is too hard to play nowadays, especially against these flopping superstars looking for contact every time they touch the ball.

It was a great game, LeBron is an animal. I was just upset to see it end the way it did.

But dude, Lee obviously came off the floor. Lee jumped up and came into LeBron's body to the point where James had no space to go up. If you're in another player's vertical area and there's contact, that's always a foul. I'd be curious to see a youtube clip of it again, though when I saw it, it looked like a foul.

Bulls play solid at home and are really lost on the road; simple.

Great win though and a must in this tight race for the final spot. Don't think we'll fare as well when the Lakers come to town.

League definitely needs to look and address this issue in the off season. And not just because of this play, this has happens a lot.

              Absolutely.

It takes almost no talent at all. He just dips his shoulder like Adrian Peterson. Lebron is the most powerful swingman in the game. He takes full advantage of it.

I don't blame him at all. The league needs to act.

The league also needs to look at superstar calls and rookie calls. Probably should have done so years ago. I don't know any other sport that allows rules to be called different depending on the status of a player.

                Probably wishful thinking though.

LeBron jumped forward into Lee's chest while the man was barely moving. If you think that's a call you need to make, a call that pretty much ended the game, during one of the most important matchups of the season, then you're part of the problem, too.

It's one thing to jump forward into someone with your shoulder lowered during a drive to the basket... it's another thing to do it 20 feet away from the hoop on a jumper. Can't hate LeBron for doing it, he knew he was going to get the call. But that is an unnatural movement, and like Altimus said, it needs to be looked at in the off-season and discouraged by the league.

Another bad call I forgot about was the 3 seconds on Dwight Howard. They NEVER call that, and then they do it during Orlando's most important possession of the game, the one right before the LeBron shoulder dip foul jumper. Dwight says he wasn't even in the paint for three seconds, either, and Stan Van Gundy was flipping his s*** when they made the call.

The game as a whole was officiated pretty well, it was just these back to back dagger calls that really put us away. Disappointing to see such a good game end so poorly.

Come on man, Jerry Stackhouse gets to the line often doing this and has been for years...jumping into the defenses chest and he always gets the call.

They should've kept it like it was, as long as the defender jumps straight up it should be seen as a contested shot instead of a foulr either way unless its just that obvious.

So you should penalize someone for being too strong?

I don't get that at all. Lee was the one who gave up his defensive positioning because he fell for the pump fake, hopefully next time he'll learn not to fall for it.

That always has been and always should be a foul.

Again, Lee jumped FORWARD, hence me saying Lee took away from LeBron's VERTICAL space. That can't happen unless the defender jumped forward. LeBron didn't jump forward, LeBron jumped straight up. The "leaning in" wasn't actually leaning, but it was contact because Lee had come up on top of LeBron. Again, I'd want to see a clip to make sure if you can find one, but that is what I saw. A defender jumping FORWARDS on a jumpshooter is a foul is it not?

Also, about the 3 seconds, again, I'd like to see a replay. If it actually is 3 seconds though, you can't argue that a call SHOULDN'T be made...

Consistency is the key. But unfortunately asking for that is like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Yeah, so the real argument should be that it should've been called throughout the game, not NOT getting called when it actually happened.
