Moses, if you were a Grizzlies fan then im pretty sure you'd understand lol.
Unless he's talking about officiating but that ain't something that just magically started going bad all of a sudden.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
It's just the perfect combination of a host of different elements that make it my favourite sport.
From the insane athleticism, to the battles for rebounds and banging down low, to the long range bombs, the heart breaking final second losses and thrilling last second wins nothing comes close imo.
I can watch and enjoy a bad game of professional or collegiate basketball more than a great game of just about any other sport.....Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Yeah, I love that it goes on basically every day for most of the year, and the off-season/draft/free agency period is still exciting... seems like there are only 1-2 months without something cool happening in the NBA world (with FIBA, there was really no break -- so awesome). I love the last 2 minutes of close NBA games more than anything -- it's just the best, most tense competition that I can think of with the best athletes and the most potential for craziness.
I stopped watching football and basically never watched baseball or hockey much, so basketball is my only real participation in the sports world besides periphreal knowledge of the other sports. I love the blogs, I love the stats, I love the highlight videos on YouTube, I love watching old games on ESPN Classic, I LOVE the ABA... basketball just rocks my face off in almost every imaginable. I even love yelling at Steve Javie when he gives Melo a technical for looking at him cockeyed...Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
I don't like the playoffs because I like watching all the players, the playoffs are just the same teams over and over that's boring to me.
I need at least 5 games a night (i also hate the tnt games because once again less games on the schedule)Ericmaynor3.com

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Basketball is the easiest sport to pick up and play. If you play a sport and enjoy it, you're more accustomed to be engulfed by it.
Basketball was the one sport I played above all others.
I'd say I'm thankful for basketball in general.
BUT it really isn't my favorite sport. Baseball will always be my favorite. There's nothing better than being at a game taking in some rays w/ a nice cold ($7.00) beer in hand.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
Dude I meant all you need is a ball, some shoes, and 4-10 players.
Unlike baseball and football where more equipment/bodies are needed.Originally posted by Edmund BurkeAll that is needed for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do nothing.Comment

Re: Why Are You Thankful for the NBA?
And yeah, if you want to get technical, all you need is a ball, some kind of foot covering, and some kind of hoop object suspended in the air. That's probably the best part about basketball and soccer, and why those are the sports that the world by and large plays -- you literally just need a ball (or sometimes not even that if you go to a rec center) and you can participate in most cases.
They're both very egalitarian sports as opposed to something like hockey or lacrosse where 95% of the people are from a higher income bracket and a ton of equipment is required just to step on the playing field. I'll always big up Marbury and Al Harrington for producing cheap shoes for kids to wear also -- obviously they're poised to make money from said shoes, but it's still a noble gesture to charge less and market them to people who need a cheaper option than $60 Nikes.Send your Midnight Release weirdo pics/videos to my new website: http://www.peopleofmidnightreleases.com!Comment
