I disagree completely. As long as they're not totally missing their players due to injury, I love me some mid-season Grizzlies-Thunder games and whatnot. The only teams that are terrible to watch are the ones (like the Wiz most of the year, the Wolves now) who are missing several key players and are forced to start guys who have no business starting in the NBA. Otherwise, I absolutely love watching teams like the Warriors, Kings, Grizzlies, Thunder, etc. going at it for nothing other than for the sake of pride/competitiveness.

If you don't like watching that dude Durantula play, I don't know what could possibly get you interested in watching bad teams. I can watch him shoot the ball for hours. That goes for OJ Mayo and Eric Gordon too... so awesome.

I remember in 1992 I sent letters to several NBA teams (claiming I'm a fan of each team) and they would send me some letters, photos, papers, player-cards and more. I still have it all at my parents house. I remember the Spurs sent me some materials including a list with the team's merchandises, and I ordered a David Robinson T-shirt and a penant (don't ask me why from the Spurs and not from the Pistons, I have no idea...). For some reason it took like 2 months for it to arrive and I think they knew it's been too long so when I opened the box I discovered 2(!!) David Robinson shirts and the penanat! One shirt was a black one with Robinson's photo and some effects... The other was a grey shirt with Robinson's caricature. What a great shirt that was!!!
Oh, and I remember receiving a note that I have some mail waiting for me at the post office. When I got there I discovered that it was from the Atlanta Hawks - they sent me their 1991-92 Media Guide - it was quite a thick book! I was amazed!!! Those were the days!

I remember when I actually cared about the NBA and college basketball was secondary.

I remember when the NBA was the best and most exciting professional sports league in this country.

I remember fighting with all the Bulls bandwagon fans in MS and HS every time they'd beat the Knicks.

I remember hating Reggie Miller and Tim Hardaway more than any other players in history.

I remember when Pat Ewing switched from white wristbands to black ones and I was pissed about it for some reason, lol.

I remember playing sick to avoid going to one of my own travel games so I could watch a Saturday Knicks/Bulls playoff game in '91 or '92.

I remember that Charles Oakley was the best mid-range shooter on the early 90's Knicks (set shot was wet from the top of the key).

I remember thinking Ray Allen was going to be a bust in the NBA (and I'm a UConn fan).

I remember boycotting Space Jam (still haven't seen it) because I hated the Bulls so much back then.

I remember having several Hall of Fame centers in the league at once.

I remember thinking the Knicks had it all wrapped up after Game 5 of the 1994 Finals.

I remember being amazed when Orlando beat the Bulls in '95. I remember watching Chicago get eliminated at my boys' place thinking Orlando was going to be the best team in the NBA for the next decade.

I remember being ridiculously excited when the Knicks drafted John Wallace.

I remember the great rivalries around the league and the hostility you could find in almost all of them.

I remember the strike of '99 combining with MJ's retirement and knowing the NBA would never be the same.

I remember when a majority of teams had dope uniforms (though the bad ones were all-timers in terms of awfulness), not something that looked like it belonged in the WNBA.

I remember, and still have, my 'Team Leaders' Knicks poster with Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Charles Smith from the early 90's.

I remember when Nike first came out with black athletic socks and I wore them every where (school, the court, church, lol).

I remember when Nick the Brick missed those four free throws in game one against the Rockets. That sucked, then it only got worse..

The Shaq and Penny show were great times for the Magic.

funny as hell... LMAO!!! he was a 80% freethrow shooter before that episode then became a 60% freethrow shooter from then on in his career... a true example of how a players mental is just as important as his ability

I remember a time when the game\ players\situations werent over analyzed, people just enjoyed basketball.

I remember a time were people didnt have some false sense that the game was perfect in a prior time period.

I remember when he had a shoe deal and was rollin' with Tyra Banks (I still think she's hot) and Lil' Penny voiced by Chris Rock.
