Re: I Remember When.......
This thread reminds me of something.
the only time in my life where it hits me that I am getting old, is when I am watching NBA Basketball.
I'm not that old, Im 34, but the game has really changed drastically since I was in college.
Now, I turn on a game, and I see friggen Patrick Ewing Jr. And D.J. Strawberry.
Son's of 2 guys who I thought would lead the teams I love to multiple championships, when I was a teenager.
That freaks me out. LOLComment

Re: I Remember When.......
You know what I miss most about the NBA?
The death of the old school "ride or die" enforcer.
Guys like Charles Oakley, Dale Davis, Antonio Davis, Rick Mahorn, Michael Cage, Rick Mahorn, Jack Haley, Joe Klien, Kirk Rambis, Tyrone Hill, Otis Thorpe.
These guys wouldnt be able to stay on the floor today. They'd have 3 fouls within 5 minutes.
3's would zoom right by them, and 4's are either 6'10"-7" who can face up from 20+ feet away and score off the dribble, or they are centers like Tim Duncan masquerading as power forwards.
