Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
that's so wrong to put him in charge of college students.. it was fine for him to destroy a few seasons for some people who were gettin paid millions regardless..... but its wrong to put him in charge of people trying to make it somewhere through basketball...
isiah was a great player but he needs to seperate himself from the game of basketball unless he is a spectator who gets paid to run his mouth like gp and c webb and barkley... -
Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
I don't see how he can "destroy" Florida International University's storied college basketball program.
I think Isiah Thomas is an idiot just as much as the next guy, but with 300+ D-1 schools in America, FIU certainly could have done worse.Comment

Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
to be the first serious post of the thread, I think this is a great move for FIU to get itself on the map and being that Isiah has a great eye for talent(look at his draft picks) I think he'll be a great recruiter. All he has to do now is have a great staff to back him up.Comment

Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
Ok serious #2....lol...Hard when you have Isiah involved..However, yes..it will be a positive for the school in many ways, recruiting especially. Being a South Florida native, I am glad the school made a bold move like this to be put on the map. Good luck FIU!Comment

Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
In all seriousness, I beleive Isiah Thomas can potentially be a very good college coach.
Isiah has 1 legitimate strength. He knows how to spot young talent.
Just about every young player he has drafted or signed as become at worst, a legit NBA rotation player.Comment

Re: The Return of Isiah Thomas!
Drafting/scouting and recruiting are completely different worlds, I'm not convinced he'll be a good recruiter."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier
