Is there a possibility that LeBron will end up a Laker?

I believe Kobe's contract with LA is valid up to 2010. LeBron's contract also ends in 2010. If the Lakers don't resign Kobe and let him walk, wouldn't the Lakers have the cap space to sign LeBron? I know LeBron wants to play in a big market. What bigger market is there than the grandest stage of them all, LA?

There is a much better chance he goes to LA than NYC...so you have that.

The grandest stage of all is New York City.

Why not? Basketball is a business and loyalty does not exist. Kobe will be 31 next year and basketball players usually start to decline in skill after 32. LeBron is only 24 and hasn't even reached his peak. I'd say it's a logical choice to let Kobe depart. I'm sure at this point Dr. West would rather have LeBron than Kobe.

Not when it comes to basketball. LA is the most popular team. If we are talking about baseball, well, then that's another story.

                        LOL.

Looking at this year's playoffs alone, I think that any GM in the league would take Bron over Kobe. That's not even taking their futures into account (Kobe is older with a much shorter window, Bron is better now and not even in his prime).

That said, Bron being a Laker assumes a lot of things, the first being that LeBron is going to leave Cleveland and if he does, he's NOT going to go to any of the other 28 teams in the league.

The second assumption is that the Lakers are going to let their franchise player and one of the biggest stars in the league go for the chance at landing LeBron with no guarantees? Just let Kobe walk? No way in hell.

Kobe's contract doesn't expire until 2011. It's not an "if Kobe walks, will they sign LeBron" thing, because it's not the same year.

Listen if the Lakers had to choose between Kobe and LBJ believe me they would choose LBJ.

The reason LBJ will not go to LA is not because LA wouldn't let Kobe walk but because Bron loves his teammates, his city, his cause and his calling-- which is to make CLE the team of the 2010's by reeling off at least 4 titles at the very least.

The NBA is better off if they establish a legit team in CLE

I wish all of these wild thoughts about LA and NY would stop. Its so annoying

Let LeBron win in his own city and attract good FA's there. That's one more team on the map to watch, not the same recycled crap
