LOL, I just don't need it shoved down my throat every time a New Yorker talks about LeBron.

I wanna ask something to the Cleveland fans. If LeBron leaves, will you boo him?
No chance in hell. Especially if he did win a championship before he left.

That said, there are a lot of people here in Cleveland that would. Hell, they booed Manny, Thome and Belle, they'd probably boo LeBron as well.

    Urban Meyer is lol.

Don't know about that. The Lakers will be able to offer him more money than any team, plus they probably still won't have enough room to fit LBJ's contract.

There's a chance with anything, but yeah, probably won't happen.

It's not that far fetched as you think. Kobe is still among the best in the league, but he ain't getting any younger and his stock will only continue to drop. Like I said, he's in his early 30's and he'll slowly start to decline.

There is no loyalty in sports. Sports is a business first and foremost. For any organization to continue to flourish, they must acquire new talent to take place of the old. There is no place for loyalty in sports. If you think otherwise then you're just naive and foolish. Some of you must be in denial if you think the Lakers would rather have a 30+ year-old Kobe than a 24-year-old LeBron, who happens to be the best player in the NBA.

If given the chance, who wouldn't want to play for the Lakers? It's like asking a baseball player if they would rather play for the New York Yankees or the Washington Nationals.

I wouldn't want to, but I guess my opinion is a bit skewed.

If Kobe opts out, I could easily see the Lakers getting Lebron.

The chances of Kobe opting out and not resigning are incredibly low.

This reminds me of an scene in The Wire where a kid asked what he wants to do when he grows up says "play in the NBA, but only for Philly" and another says "They'd pay your *** to go away"

I think everybody is missing the point. Of course the Lakers would rather have LeBron over Kobe, and frankly...which GM wouldn't?

That's not what matters though. Just because Kobe doesn't resign (in that case) doesn't mean that LeBron will leave where he is to go be a Laker. The Lakers would have an even issue. I hope they don't fall for the LeBron sweepstakes like everybody else. Anybody remember those Tim Duncan-to-Orlando rumors? This is just as unrealistic.

Like I said I'd bet my bank account and take out another loan to add to it and bet on him not doing that.

Will LeBron be a Laker in 2010? no. Would I trade Kobe and Bynum for Bron? YES YES YES YES!

                        Pretty ridiculous thread, btw.
