Why people keep comparing Lebron to micheal jordan?

I know this topic has been brought up alot but i just want to talk about it for just one more time. Is it because he wore the number 23 and because he said he idolize him. I just believe that the wrong comparison because their game styles are diff. But i think i found the best comparison to LBJ. Well its 2 players, Magic and Dominique Wilkens. I mean if the you mash these players together you get LBJ. He has the IQ and passing skills of magic, and the freakish atlethic ability of a dominque who was just a monster in the paint. I mean there is nothing wrong comparing him to jordan i just think Magic and wilkens is much better comparison.

They compare him to Jordan because Jordan is the greatest player of all time and hype makes money. This holds true for any top 2/3 player in the league, whether it's Lebron, Kobe, or TMac a few years ago, and they'll do it again with Durant, Mayo, and whoever the next great 2/3 is.

Same reason D12 is compared to Shaq.

Jordan comparisons are much, much sexier than Nique comparisons.

Well d12 compared to shaq is legit because they both cant shoot more than 5 feet and horrible FT shooters.

Well that true that jordan is the sexier pick, but im not going jump on person balls because he is the greatest im not ESPN. Dont get me wrong i defiently going to respect that person.

Magic's vision, passing, great ball handling for his size, competitiveness and playful persona...and Shaq's combo of size and quickness, with a physical game that overpowers and puts alot of pressure on the refs officiate. Obviously, Lebron isn't a 500lb center that backs you in, but he has that same strength advantage over whoever is guarding him that Shaq had, and most defenders are just as helpless when he attacks the rim.

Wade is the closest thing to MJ style-wise, IMO.

Shaq didnt think it of that one, that a good comparison. I mean his brute strenght is kinda nuts, i mean even PF have a hard time LBJ. You also right about wade. To me wade and kobe are close to jordan style than lebron.

Dunno man, I don't see much of MJ in Bron's steez besides the athletic ability and jersey number.

If he idolizes MJ so much he should change the jersey number. I hate it that he wears that number. 23 belongs only to MJ.

There has never been an athlete like lebron in the Nba. a guy that big with much athleticism and speed.

It's hard to compare the him to jordan or even kobe at this point. But i think the main reason people would compare him to jordan is that he brings that flare that makes you go wow in a game like jordan did.

comparisons are fun but i think it more to the point that lebron has created a new mold. As mj did. There is the comparison between the two 23s.
There has not been a player like lebron. His size and speed and skill, that's why he's the best. Look what he's doing to his competition atm. His only comparison to jordan is that he is great. There are elite. But bron is lebron. There is no comparison.

LeBron isn't even close neither is Kobe.

The media is doing this to try to garner viewers.

Just ask anyone who remembers MJ playing and just ask them - I know that sounds very simple..........
