The Bulls are not title contenders. At least, not until they get a better shooting guard. Perhaps they could trade for James Harden....

Anyways, hopefully Carlos shows up in the playoffs next time. Right now, their offense is Derrick Rose. Just like Lebron was the offense when he was at Cleveland.

Chicago can get away with it because of their stingy defense, just like Cleveland during the LeBron years.

Their defenses and MVP players [Rose/LBJ] combined to elevate their teams to contenders. Cleveland was definitely a contender back in those days, but you'd probably be smart to elevate Boston/Orlando/LA above them. These days Chicago is definitely a contender but until they get a 2 guard, they're gonna be ranked below Miami/LA etc. etc.

There's no argument that I can make for OKC, although they are for sure contenders in my eyes. A return trip to the conference finals should quiet people. For now all I can say is they are a pretty complete team with nice post defenders/rebounders and also have an MVP candidate and 2x scoring champ. They're contenders and will be for a long time no doubt about it.

Agreed about the Bulls. They need a 2 guard to compliment Rose though, someone he can trust to pass the ball to and know they can bail him out when he's not going well.

OKC is an enigma to me. It seems like they have the pieces...but something's missing. I'd be more confident about them if they started Harden and find another sparkplug for the bench.

As it is, when Westbrook's not going, he ****s up the rhythm for everyone :/

          Bulls now >>>>>> Cleveland then.

Bulls are one player away from a serious title shot. Maybe we could swing something for James Harden. I'll take him in my lineup any day.

James Harden is a serious problem. Now that he's finally putting it together...I wouldn't be surprised if he flirts with multiple all star selections during the remainder of his career.

Chicago aint gettin anywhere near Harden though, haha.

What can you offer OKC that they don't already have. Let's stop mentioning Harden to Chicago like it's even remotely possible.

Hell just getting a serviceable 2 guard isn't exactly a forgone conclusion anyway

Lol, I know it's just a pipe dream, but I really want Harden away from Westbrook. As good as he is, it's supremely obvious when he's off it ****s up the rhythm for everyone else. Coupled with the fact that Durant doesn't demand the ball when Westbrook is off makes it even worse IMO. I think that's really the misgivings I have with the Thunder, at the heart of it it's Westbrook :/

Perhaps the Bulls can swing for Marshon Brooks or Nolan Smith? Or, at least someone younger with the potential to grow into the spot.

Hrmm, they also need a back-up point guard. Perhaps they could swing for Johnny Flynn in the process? He's wasting away in Minnesota

OKC will figure it out, WB will either calm down or get shipped out.

Chicago too will figure out their 2 guard situation. I just can't see them going with the same rotation as last year.

Bulls won't get harden without giving up Noah his stock is HIGH right now.

                    --------------------

If they could get JR Smith's attitude in check, he would be a great pickup. When he gets going he can score the hell out of the ball. But that is very doubtful.

I expect them to target JRich. I heard Winning>Money for him. So if there is still a MLE they'll certainly look at him.

                      Flynn got traded to Houston.

I don't see them trading for Brooks because of him high volume shooting.

Isn't Nick Young a RFA same for Wilson Chandler? I think those would be two decent (I'd prefer Wilson Chandler over Young I think he's extremely underrated and showed he can play Defense when there's no Dantoni) pick ups at the Off Guard. Don't forget Aaron Afflalo, I think the Nuggets would let Chandler walk to keep Afflalo as they see Gallinari as having huge upside. Someone like that would compliment the Bulls.

I would love Aaron Afflalo. But he loves Denver and Denver loves him so I don't see it happening.

I hope the Bulls can snag JRich though.
