I'd have to add in the drafting of Penny AND THEN trading him for Webber. Webber lasted a whole year in the bay. That was basically the beginning of the end for us. In 2005 i wanted Granger as well. How or why they drafted Diogu is beyond me.. stupid wingspan does not equal good nba player.

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
Taking Martell over Paul. I love Martell and COULD be good one day, but Paul is great right now at a position we need. But with signing Paul...It would of changed our fate...So it's ok.Comment

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
LOL....Dude, a picture says a 1,000 words but i need to add more. And no, this is not a hindsight opinion as one person stated. This is a pattern of horrible moves. Even before Adam Morrison rewind one year before that....New Orleans was willing to give the 4 pick to Charlotte and something else in exchange for 5 and 12. Charlotte refuses because they wanted Felton and May...meanwhile New Orleans has to settle for Chris Paul...also some kid by the name of Danny Granger was still available......Now back to Mr. Morrison...dude.....dude....Brandon Roy and Rudy Gay are available and you decide Morrison is what you need??? Now fast forward to 2008...DJ Augustine is my man but any time you a 7 footer that is an offensive threat, you take him. You don't leave Brook Lopez on the board to go after a 5'11 point guard. Now let's FF to 2009...my prediction? The Bobcats will trade the 12 pick for Eric Dampier straight up and Adam Morrison will retire to become a goat farmer.Comment

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
That one really had me scratching my head when they so badly needed a decent point guard at the time and already had decent wing players....
Williams still has upside but can you imagine what Paul would have done ooping to Josh Smith and feeding Johnson for open jumpers every night!
I'm a clippers fan so there are too many to mention but Olowokandi being picked over: Bibby, Jamison, Vince Carter, Dirk, Paul Peirce and others still really hurts.....Last edited by Jonesy; 06-30-2009, 12:10 AM.Comment

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
2009, the Knicks drafting Jordan Hill, ahead of Brandon Jennings mostly.
Besides that, the Knicks have had one good selection in the last 24 years (since Ewing's no brainer in '85) and that was David Lee. Wilson Chandler may get there, Mark Jackson and Rod Strickland weren't with NY long enough. It's pathetic to look at the names the Knicks have drafted since 1985."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
Fredrick Weiss panned out well, especially with Ron Artest on the board.
The Knicks usually draft "OK", it's their free agents that are nightmares.
Ohh..Michael Sweetney at 9 sucked too.
Guys like Boris Diaw, Kendrick Perkins, Leandro Barbosa, Josh Howard, David West, still on the board.
Knicks drafted Nene at #7, and traded him to Denver for the great Frank Williams. Oops.Comment

Re: Draft Mistakes Your Team Made
Ima just talk thispast draft. We ( hornets) made a crucial mistake by not drafting djuan Blair in the first rd. Yes
I know we need to get Paul somebackuphelp but besides Chandler we have no real bangers down low. We go waste a pick a get collison and we coulda picked up a pg after the draft or in free agency.Noles/Buccaneers/Hornets Sox/Spartans/Man-u/StarsComment
