Sure go with the "hardware" point, it's a compelling one /sarcasm.

    LeBron surpassed Kob last year.

    Again, it's your opinion.

    1 on 1.. I'd still take Kobe.

My hardware point is just as valid an argument as your hypothetical situation you spit out... /not sarcasm

edit: sorry for hijacking the thread, after reading a few pages in.. i forgot what the actual topic was.

I could have sworn going into this thread I would read a discussion about Durant and not Kobe VS LBJ.

I'm thinking Ryan meant why is attempting many shots in the paint, i.e. getting high percentage shots so bad?

Jumpers in the paint makes no sense. When you're that close, they aren't considered jumpers.

Give me a break, Lebron is the best player in the NBA and quite frankly, it isn't close.
Have you ever watched him play? His WHOLE game revolves around traveling and bowling people over, only the refs always bail him out and call fouls on the defender. He is a terrible jump shooter and a mediocre ft shooter. He's one athleticism draining knee injury away from being Penny Hardaway after he got hurt.

If OKC was in the East, like the LeBrons, they would be top 3.

Anti-homer? Right. So I guess saying Kobe is #3 instead of #1 is "taking the anti-homer to another level"

Read through more posts before you try saying stuff like this.
I would say your avatar takes the anti-homer stuff to a new level in it's self. Also, lets wait till LeBron wins A GAME in the finals before we pass the torch from Kobe. I guarantee LA loves all the slurping the Cavs are getting in the media right now, and will use that lack of respect to fuel another championship. They way Bynum and Kobe looked today(Kobe didn't shoot well, but he looked much more energetic than he had in a long time), LA is a huge favorite to win the title.

My avatar? I forgot to change it, I didn't choose that.

Let's cut the "torch passing" b.s. It's anything but logical.

OKC would be fourth or fifth. That team would be playing the Celtics in the first round for sure. Just not sure if I'd say they're better. The Thunder could definitely beat them in a seven-game series.

They would probably have won 3-5 more games in the weaker East than they did in the brawny West. Thus, they would be behind Cleveland and Orlando and just ahead of the Hawks, making them the 3 seed.

Yeah, on second thought, I think you're right in that regard. I don't think they're better than Atlanta, but they did beat them twice. I'm just thinking now of OKC getting to the second round against Orlando and getting its lunch handed to it, though. No way that series goes more than five, in my opinion.
