    Re: Jason Kidd is overrated

I didn't here anyone on ESPN say Kidd was the best player in the NBA. I think that many of them just gush about Tim Duncan being the best player. I can't argue with that because he deserved the MVP. Jason Kidd isn't the best player in the NBA so I agree with that, but he is definitely the best player on the Nets. I definitely feel as though his value to the Nets can be compared to any star with their respective team.

What...rebounds aren't the sole factor in determining a players defensive worth. Troy Murphy was tied for 7th in defensive rebounds with Brian Grant..you mean to tell me he is just a good as a defender??? You saying Dirk is a better defender than Grant, Martin, Marion, PJ Brown?????? It's clearly known by knowledgable NBA fans that Dirk's defense is offensive.

I'm not saying he's one of the best in the league, but that he can indeed defend, and he'll only get better.

Oh, and AI is very good at defending PGs. You don't need to be a good post defender to be considered an excellent defender, e.g. Ben Wallace.
