Like someone said in another thread Kidd averages 3.4 turnovers a game. No one talks about that and his turnover to assist ratio is worse than Tony Parker. Kidd had another poor shooting night last nite going 5-18 cause that jumpshot still cant go down the well even after all these years. Fortunately for him parker was even worse which overshadowed his typical poor performace.

    <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

His turnover to assists ratio is very high, but so was Magic Johnsons, the best PG to ever play. Yes, Kidd cannot shoot, but what seperates him from everybody else is the intangibles he has, his ability to make everyone better. He may not fill up the stat sheet on points, but look at his rebounds and assists. I think alot of people look way too much into stats.

Listen, I know you guys hate AI because he&amp;#8217;s a black man from the hood and represents that. I can understand you not liking him because of his practice habits and his off the court antics but, to this discredit him, for what he brings to the floor, on the court is plain and blatantly wrong. But if your gonna say some one is better than him, at least say someone that is worth an argument is better than him. Someone like KG, TD, or even Kobe, but Dirk???? Come on you got to be kidding me, he has Finley and Nash and still can&amp;#8217;t get to the Finals. Give the little man credit, he&amp;#8217;s the only one out of this list to take a team of bench players to the finals. There&amp;#8217;s no argument in saying Dirk is better because everyone in this forum, including you know deep down that, that isn&amp;#8217;t true.

Holy cow! After reading this I have lost all respect for your opinions because nobody said they didn't like him because he's black, from the hood, or anything like that. Some people are just stating their opinions and here you are calling guys who don't agree with you racists. That's just plain ignorant. Maybe some people think Dirk is better than Iverson. Big deal. Please don't go whipping out the race card when nobody feels that way.

Im not denying that Kidds a great pg and i think hes one of the best and makes his team great but i think some people or analysts from espn make him out to be the top player in the NBA which isnt accurate. Kidd does some of the intanglibles like make his teammates better and made some great passes but right now he aint even the best player on the nets this series. That belongs to K-mart. Kidd also has too many offdays. If hes one of the best he should be performing at a high level every night instead of showing up once every other game. That being said before nets fan come attack me ill say it again: Jason Kidd is one of the top 15 players and is an allstar but not quite a superstar or mvp type material.

I still don't understand the concept of J-Kidd posting up Parker and backing him down while Kenyon Martin waits outside on the perimeter..

I dont see where any of the annoucers said he was the best guy in the leauge...if so I missed something. When was this said and who said it?

As for Kidd posting up parker, that is a great idea, he does have a pretty good size advantage on him. The concept is similar to when Duncan post up, when the double team comes Duncan kicks out to a shooter..but with Kidd, Kmart or Jefferson attack the basket instead of waiting for the spot up...if they dont double Kidd then he should have a high percentage shot in the post. I like this except when Kidd shoots the fadeaway, he should just face up and shoot or get something going towards the basket rather than away from it.

I didn't here anyone on ESPN say Kidd was the best player in the NBA. I think that many of them just gush about Tim Duncan being the best player. I can't argue with that because he deserved the MVP. Jason Kidd isn't the best player in the NBA so I agree with that, but he is definitely the best player on the Nets. I definitely feel as though his value to the Nets can be compared to any star with their respective team.
