Blair will start 5-10 games into the season, average 12+ boards, and the rest will be history. Strive for 5!

I see we have another who thinks there will be two LA teams in the West playoffs.

        Any other takers?

So far it's me and Xcell

Clippers will not make the playoffs.

My offer is still on the table for anyone that thinks otherwise.

Hm. You can put me down with the crazies who believe in the Clips. Healthy BD. No more Randolph, plus Blake and a more experienced Gordon? Sure, why not.

The Clips, I repeat, the Los Angeles Clippers are not making the 2010 NBA Playoffs.

                Yoooooooooo!

Nuggets trade nowhere 2nd rounder playing in Europe for JAMES WHITE. I cried a little bit. Can't wait to watch this dude live... as long as he can eclipse the awesome 33% that freaking Kleiza shot from deep last year, we're in good shape. Absolutely can't wait until he's catching lobs from Ty Lawson. The Nuggets are bar-none the most athletic team in the league... another season leading the NBA in dunks is on lock.

I thought they'd go with Wally or Flip Murray, but White is cheaper and far more exciting. I think they'll still probably (hopefully) take a good look at Coby Karl or another minimum deal kind of guy just in case White isn't 100% ready for a 15 MPG role. Still though, JAMES WHITE! Very happy about this.

It'll be interesting to see if James White is FINALLY NBA ready. I don't see 15 minutes per game being his role anytime soon though. He played a grand total of 11 minutes all of last year.

However, White has significantly improved over the last year for the Arsenal of the D-League, and looks like a way better all-around scorer, than he ever has been. He gets to the line, and his efficiency in creating buckets is noticeably different (vastly improved). Still, the Arsenal were 15-35 last season, so he wasn't dropping huge numbers on a good team. Like I said... it'll be interesting to see if he's NBA ready.

                    Re: Off-Season West Conf Discussion

Yeah, between him and Balkman we have the 15 or so minutes at backup SF covered. He did seem to really improve his other skills in the D-League (25.7 PPG is nothing to sneeze at, even in the D-League), so I'm hoping that he's ready to contribute in a spot role. He's never had the level of talent around him that he has in Denver, so I see him getting some open looks from deep and building confidence in his jumper. Really though, if he runs and finishes at the basket while playing some semblance of defense, I'll be happy with this pickup regardless of whether he's a key cog off the bench or not.

He's not on a guaranteed contract, so this might be all for naught, but I can't help but to be excited. My favorite highlight factory lineup:

                    Lawson
                    JR
                    Flight
                    K-Mart
                    Birdman

                    Uhh, alley-oops anyone? Good lord.

                      Re: Off-Season West Conf Discussion

If I recall, Flight White had a pretty good Summer league this year. Not that that means anything but hey at least he was doing what he was supposed to be doing.

Yeah DEN has some high risers. According to KMart his legs and hops have returned. He says he feels like he did in NJ. Ruh Row

                          I'm exaggerating a bit

Though, I have really high hopes for him, seriously. Haven't felt this way about a Spurs rookie before they've played since Tony Parker.

I want to see him do well since he is a Pitt product. Blessing to be able to play next to one of the best that ever did it.

Have JR Smith run the point, Flight White at the 2, and Melo at the 3...

how on earth could you not include Melo in a highlight factory lineup?

Here is my "Prototypically boring" Spurs lineup, that all of us San Antonio fans crave so very much...

                              Roger Mason
