This trade won't happen but the Nets are still a better team then Detroit even with the trade.

Would Shaq even play for them?

Does anybody else understand the CBA? or is it just me

Does anybody else understand that Sam Smith for the Chicago Tribune always writes trades that work under the CBA. Trades that arent even rumored. He even states it in his articles. Its just to show that something is possible and he explains why both sides might want to do it. Thats where the Bulls-Twolves trade came from. People read it quickly and ran with it, and all the sudden everyone thought it was for real.

Re: Shaq trade to Detroit...and it has legs

Funny, I flew through LA this morning, grabbed a Times and saw nothing about this. The only mention about the Lakers was how the Spurs could hurt them if Jermaine O'neal stays in Indiana and the Spurs start competing against the Lakers for players like Juwan Howard. This trade suggestion would be front page news if it had any legs at all. The Lakers would never trade a hall of famed center for an unproven European. We've had enough with the Floppy Divac experiment.
