Pippen was a great defender in his prime but he benefited immensely from the triangle offense and playing with MJ. He wasn't exactly captain clutch either. One very good season in '93-'94 by no means earns someone a Top 50 all-time spot.

    Personally I don't think he's a Top 50 player of all-time, let a lone top 10 of the last 30 years, that's laughable.

I'm not in the business of ripping players for the systems they play in. Its the players jobs to execute within their systems and Pippen was one of the best at it.

        One example (of many):

4:25 of this video is all you need to know about Malone in the clutch:

you can find "chokes" video clips of anybody in the NBA..that's kind of a weak argument. That's like me showing a clip of Kobe airballing a couple 3-pointers in a playoff game (rookie year) and saying "yea man he sucks".

Malone is one of the best players (PF's) of all time, you can't take that away from him. You also can't justify that he was only good because Stockton created shots for him. Those arguments will never end because you can pick apart any player too. You don't see people saying Magic was only good because of the great players around him etc. Also, I know it's hard for people to do, but playoff failures (since mostly team effort) shouldn't be counted against you either.

Love Basketball now....didn't watch it a lot when I was younger. Played A lot but didn't watch a lot. Most of my History is from like the last 4 years.

J kidd is on there more for his rep, cause I didn't see him play that much, but I know what he's done with his numbers.

Edit: now that I think about it Maybe D Wade should be on there. Probably over Howard.

Barkley put up big numbers and thats about it. His defense was inconsistent and he never did much when a game was on the line.

Do you think BArkley made the game easier for his teammates?
                    Is he a winner?
                    What was his SAT score?

No, he made it harder. He always said that they weren't in it to win it but he was the one who wasn't serious about a title.
                      No, he was a loser.

Steve Nash is a one-way player..Scottie Pippen is regarded as argueably the best all-around player in the history of the league..and that's not evendwelling into the matter

you are absolutely ridiculous with your comments my friend

it's not even worth discussing imo BUT you should remember that the same Pippen who benefited from playing with Mike and in the triangle offense took Lakers to the brink of elimination when he was in Portland..

edit: went overboard with that statement..should've written - one of the best

He has Scottie, Mitch Richmond, Sid Moncrief, Dennis Rodman, Dennis Johnson

But no LBJ/Kobe/Duncan/ I could go on

Since 1993 when I started watching basketball?

                              1. Michael Jordan
                              2. Tim Duncan

                              6. Karl Malone
                              7. Charles Barkley
                              8. Kobe Bryant

Probably missing a couple guys, though.
