But no LBJ/Kobe/Duncan/ I could go on
I didn't list them because they are still playing. They would easily crack that list.

        I was gonna say...

The premise of the subject never said they can't be current players.

Still though, your honorable mentions are suspect when talking about Top Ten

Kinda surprised you'd pick Penny over KG. I'd also take Ewing over Stockton and Penny, but my Knicks bias may be too strong for me to judge. Still, look at Ewing's numbers and team success and he's at least in the conversation.

A Brady; historically where would you place the following players

                  Kobe
                  Iverson
                  HUman Highlight Film
                  Concrete evidence/videos please

Kobe would be around 9-10 all time behind other guards like Jordan, Oscar, Magic, and Jerry West.

Iverson would be in the 40-50 range behind others like Stockton, Kidd, Isiah Thomas, Dennis Johnson, Walt Frazier, and Earl Monroe. Mainly because AI is one of the most fearless players I have even seen.

Is the Human Highlight Film supposed to be Vince Carter? If so, he wouldn't make any top 100 list since the following players were all better than VC (not including the usual suspects like MJ and others): Sam Jones, Mitch Richmond, Clyde Drexler, Sid Moncrief, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen, Dave Bing, Dwyane Wade, Joe Dumars, Rick Barry, Walter Davis, Alex English, Bernard King, Adrian Dantley, Gary Payton, Lou Hudson, and Grant Hill. Carter is one of the most overrated players of the past 25 years.

I might've been slightly biased towards Penny since he was probably my favorite player growing up and would pretty much see most of his games when the Magic played on NBC, whereas I didn't really see much of KG until about 99-00.

Ewing would be in my honorable mention, so that's a mistake on my part and I shouldn't have left him out.

Only guys who are retired or at least been in the league 10 years.

                          2. Bird
                          3. Magic

                          9. Karl Malone
                          10. Ewing

Next 10 (no order): Garnett, Dominique, Robinson, Zeke, Iverson, Barkley, Gary Payton, Drexler, Webber, Kidd.

Kareem was at the tail end of his career when I first started watching so I left him off the list.

Dominique would be in the top 10 at his position just above other good scorers like Gervin, English, and Bernard King. Nique is a deserving Hall of Famer.

Here is my top 5 favorite (Not the best but favorite):

Shawn Kemp: Homer pick but he was one of the big reason why I became an NBA fan. Very electrifying. In my opinion is his the most entertaining PF I've seen and maybe the most exciting the last 20 years.

Gary Payton: Another Homer pick but I gotta give it up to the glove. I remember the GP-Kemp highlights and Kemp wouldn't be the Reignman without the Glove. He was a great defender, had a nice post-up game and can score when he wanted to.

Michael Jordan: The man is the best. Period.

Kobe Bryant: I wasn't a huge Kobe fan back then but he grew on me. I began to like him more as player the last couple of years because he was less selfish and became more of a team player.

Lebron James: In my opinion the most exciting player inthe NBA today. He is truly a human highlight film.
