One more scenario to ponder in a Spurs signing

As I read a few articles about Jason Kidd maybe deciding to go to the team that just eliminated him from the 2003 Finals the SA Spurs, and a possible sign and trade which sounds great with Sacramento.

Then there is the other few possibilities SA can acquire.

Michael Olowakandi leaving the Clippers can come to the Spurs and provide some help inside for Duncan, which Duncan may welcome because he doesn't want to play center, and likewise with Brad Miller leaving Indiana becuase they can't pay him, and his soon to be ex-teammate one way or the other Jermaine O'neal can both give TD and SA the inside presence they need to possibly succeed again.

Considering they really don't need, or won't get Jason Kidd this summer, and will allow Tony Parker to continue to mature at his position with the mediocre, or just right fit in Speedy Claxton, they may have one more soon to be FA to consider, and have the cap space for it too.

KEVIN GARNETT. How scary is this? KG, and TD would provide any team with a hard time in the middle, just as much, if not more than SA could with David Robinson. Can you imagine the 2 seven footers mixed with speed, athleticism, good D, and an exciting duo to two of the greatest in todays game playing side by side, and with a few more pieces to add to replace the few guys that are leaving the Spurs for retirement, they could be one of the most dangerous teams in the L easily.

they will probably just sign marginal free agents this year, like P.J. Brown, and say a Kenny Anderson.

Then wait for next season, and sign Kobe.

well hearing that KG will pair up with Duncan is very scary. seems like it will be unfair for the other teams. but i doubt that will happen.

It could very well happen if SA decides they want to wait for it. They have young up and coming stars, TD who hasn't reached his prime yet, and alot of cap space. This could be very good for a guy like KG, and he'd have the help and players around he needs to be successful. The rest would be up to him.

One thing for sure is, Minny had better do something with KG not signing an extension, and if they don't do something, they could lose him for nothing at all. SA would seem to be a great fit for him in wanting to win a ring.
