I think you have to understand that when you pick a player you never know what he will become. It doesn't matter whether it is the 1st pick or the 2nd pick. There is always a high possibility that a player will become a bust. Who would have expect Joe Smith and Coleman to turn up a little help on there respective team. Heck, even a good and promising player can become a bust in the middle of his growth for no apparent reason (remember Isiah Rider).

And Duncan is no exception to this kind of criticism and reality. He could turn up to be a bust anytime given certain situations like critical injury or perhaps family problems. Grant Hill became a bust after Orlando sign him up for a huge contract. But then Duncan is no Grant Hill, Coleman or Smith. And as long as he could maintain his discipline and illustriuos career I believe I could safely say MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
