It's the Pro Basketball forum...I believe there is one about that bum in ur pic.

I don't think that Kobe Bryant has "hit the wall", but some people do view this as a valid question because he has lost alot his athleticism. He is not as athletic as he was when he was younger, that is obviously going to happen after the mileage he has on him, playing so many years above the rim at a high level. I still believe his skill set makes him the best player in the NBA. It is up for debate now who is "the best", but I believe Kobe will be a Top 3 player in the NBA for the next few years, so Kobe/Laker fans should not be worried. If he's hit the wall and is leading the league in points and assists, that shows how damn good he is.

Re: Has Kobe Bryant finally hit the wall?

Kobe is the most complete offensive player in the NBA

Kobe doesnt have the first step bounce and finishing skills that he had when he was say, 26...but he doesnt need it.

He's the best "tough shot" maker ive ever seen, and because his game is so complete, he has a bevy of fakes he uses to get to the free throw line, and to get enough space to score.

I think a thread like this is a symptom of the sportscenter mentality that has infested the NBA and sports in general.

We dont see a guy doing as many windmill dunks, so the casual joe-schmoe concludes that player x, has somehow gotten "worse"

2 years ago he was. Even though he is going to decline he is still gonna be hitting game winners and destroying all of the hopes of opposing teams. He is lucky to be on a great team.

You do realize that athleticism plays a large part right? Why take away Lebrons athleticism? Hes 24

Re-read what Tre74 said. I don't think you understand the point he was trying to make.

Threads about Kobe divulge into nothing more than trivial subjective views. I'm guilty of it, others are too.

Oh no...you called Gil a bum. Guess I should change my avatar because I value your opinion?

Considering there is actual discussion going on right now, your posts don't help and are a great way to ACTUALLY get the thread de-railed, JBH.

Re: Has Kobe Bryant finally hit the wall?

All Great Players adjust their style over time. Jordan did it, Kobe did it already, Lebron's eventually going to have to. Like someone said earlier there is no doubt that these players are going to lose their athleticism over time.

To me Kobe hasnt hit the wall because he can still go out on any night and give me 40 points. He's one of those players who dont have slumps.

So if you mean has Kobe hit the wall athletically then yes, but Kobe is still the best player in the NBA due to him adjusting his play style. He has mastered the mid-range game, can make the toughest shots you have ever seen and he still can take it to the rack.

Re: Has Kobe Bryant finally hit the wall?

Great post by NYC. Most great players change there game over time. Athleticism is something that is God given, but it naturally diminishes over time. You won't always be able to make plays based off athletic ability. Kobe may have the best midrange and post up game of any guard in the league, and that's why I can't say he's hit a wall.

Why would I be? Lebron is just getting better every year. I remember when he hardly had a outside shot...Now he is draining them consistantly. What do you got against Lbron?
