    Possible MVP?

I was recently at a Clippers game and watched Chris Kaman light it up with 26 points and 9 boards. Some fans were chanting "MVP".

Right now, here are his stats:

    23 points, 9.9 reb, 1.9 ast, 1.9 blk, 58% FG, 80% FT

He should win comeback player at least, but MVP? maybe...thoughts?

MVP? No. You need to win games to be MVP. It's nice to see he's having a solid season, though.

Unless the Clippers somehow manage to have a winning record and make the playoffs he has no shot at MVP. Even if the Clips did have a winning record and got into the playoffs he would still have no shot at MVP. I like Kaman i think he's a really good player but he has no chance in hell of winning MVP.
As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!"

I feel like an *** for trashing this guy in another thread, I'm actually really surprised to see these numbers. If he keeps it up, he's probably an automatic "Most Improved Player", but he'll never be MVP. Sorry, Chris. The only Clip game I've seen this year was the opener against the Lakers, and I might put that loss on Baron Davis. Lots of bad shots and bad decisions. This team is going to get very interesting when we see Griffin at 100%, though. Should be fun.

The NBA season is about two weeks old. Give it some time.

Also, Chris Kaman isn't a marquee player. The NBA wouldn't allow him to get the MVP award no matter how well he plays unless he literally gets 45 points per game.

A little biased here, but how about Steve Nash? Twenty assists tonight. He's leads the league in assists, and the Suns lead the league in wins. Steve's had like 40 assists in the last 48 hours.

Well, if we're going to base the MVP Award off one game, then let's give it to Manu Ginobili for his 36 points, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 blocks in the Spurs' 131-124 win against Toronto.

If any "sleeper" is winnign MVP it's Chris Bosh. He's been balling unfortunately it hasn't equalled wins...we lost to the spurs tonight (sans Parker and Duncan..smh). But Bosh is getting his, whoever ends up signing him (2010) is getting one of the league's best power forward's.

                      He's averaging 28 n 11.

He had 32 n 10 tonight (vs spurs)

Chris Kaman is the best back to the basket scorer in the NBA (yes better than Al Jefferson).

Kaman finishes with both hands. He can shoot off the face up. Hooks to both shoulders. He has above average hands. He is also just beginning to recognize where and when double teams are coming, unfortunately he plays on a team that is so inconsistent shooting (B. Davis, Al Thornton, Camby).

Kaman is the real deal. Not an MVP candidate but he should be an allstar this year if he is healthy. You should really watch this dude.

I love how you guys read the thread and act like the dude is serious about this.

                              Sometimes the overreaction is worse.

Dude is playing really well. If you have watched a Clippers game this year you would understand how amazing he is playing. He is far and above the best player on their team right now.
