Re: Brandon Jennings is the Truth
Yea, I read that stuff. But I don't think he'd be as successful if it wasn't for what went on over in Europe. Especially with how Skiles likes to treat rookies, Jennings minus Europe may have lead to a couple headbutts by now.[NYK|DAL|VT]

Re: Brandon Jennings is the Truth
I think Nash, Williams, Miller, Kidd, and Paul can without a doubt...
I understand why his numbers are down this early, but I still don't see him retiring and going down as a great distributing PG, I can see him become a great all-around PG with scoring as his main strength though...
Jason has only done it three times and I know for a fact a 36 year old Jason Kidd wouldn't come anywhere close to over 10 a game with these Bulls.
The only guys that might have a chance is Nash and Paul but I truely believe niether one of them would be able to do it. When you look at the Bulls team (I am a huge Bulls fan by the way) there are no strong finishers on the wing, there is no great outside shooters (Salmons and Kirk are good but are not great), and there is zero post game on the team. Noah and Thomas have zero post game and get thier point on put backs, running the floor, and hustling. When you combine all of that you have a team that will not get you the easy assists or buckets. We win our games by outplaying and out hustling the other team.
When you look at what Nash, Paul, and Williams have they have guys who can finish on the pick and pop and/or the pick and roll. They also have great shooters who can knock down the open three when the defense is broken down. We don't have that with the Bulls.Comment

Re: Brandon Jennings is the Truth
I think you are underestimating the power of a great distributing point guard... they make their team mates better... they make good players look great... make average players look good... make bad players look average... if the bulls had steve nash, chris paul, jason kidd, or deron williams, they would bring out the best in those guys...
PS, andre miller has averaged over 8 assist more than twice... hell his career average is 7.4, which rose will be lucky to ever have a season of... andre miller has been in situations playing with guys such as iguodala and melo, which lowered his assist numbers due to the ball being in their hands and not his, but he is still an elite distributor... that's the one exception to assist being a key sign of a great distributor, when they are in a situation that does not allow them to pick up a lot of assist...Last edited by o_capone; 11-15-2009, 11:04 PM.Comment

Andre has always had great finishers and shooters around him. So if he has only gone over 10 once and only over eight twice (8.0 is not more than eight so I was still right) how would it be possible for him to go over 10 now with this Bulls team?? He has only been over 7 a game four times in 10 years. Also 7.4 is a long way away from 10 plus. So I just don't see how 10 plus with this Bulls team is possible.
Steve Nash never saw more than 8.8 before coming to to the Suns. That was the only season he was over 8 before coming to the Suns. Even with Dallas he had far greater players around him. There is nothing on the Bulls roster close to the level of a Finley or Dirk. We could make a huge list of all the finishers and shooters he has had with the Suns that are better than what is on the Bulls roster.
To say a 36 year old Kidd could come in and do something with a WORSE roster than he has now or with the Nets that he hasn't done in years is just foolish. He is giving you 8 a game now with Dirk, Terry, Marion, and Howard. You mean to tell me that he would increase that by at least 2 a game replacing those guys with the likes of Deng, Salmons, Noah, and Thomas. That just isn't going to happen.
Now if you would have said those guys would average more assists than Rose right now then I would agree with that no questions asked. But to say that those guys would just come in and give out more than 10 assists a game (something only two of those are doing with thier own team now) on this Bulls team is just wrong and illogical.Comment
