Well the young guy got it done tonight against Arenas and co. Overpowering pretty much everyone that tried to guard him and getting his way in the paint. Then stripping Arenas at the very end of the game preventing a potential GW shot from 0.

      He's a beast.

In my opinion, he's already a higher tier player than some of his rookie and sophomore counterparts...(Jennings, Westbrook)

I can co-sign with this statement.

And I like both Jennings and Westbrook a lot.

Evans is just a beast. He's the point guard version of Paul Pierce, but a way more complete player than Pierce was at that stage. I love his game so much.

            Re: Tyreke Evans

Evans reminds me a lot of Wade in his rookie year, but with less dunking and no ankle injury. He definitely seems like the best of this rookie class, but there is a lot of potential all over. Except for Jordan Hill, who may be the only bust.

It remains to be seen if Evans can go left and finish lefty with consistency. He will never be as strong as Pierce is, his jumpshot is awkward and his release is a problem, and he leans too far forward on his free throws. Most importantly, will Evans improve his defense enough to become an inspirational player on both ends of the court?

                Re: Tyreke Evans

For his position, Evans is already as strong as Pierce is. Direct comparisons don't really make sense, since Evans isn't matching up at SF. You match him up with any PG today, and he is as strong if not stronger, which is remarkable at his age. I would only match him up with Billups and Williams as far as strength at his position, whereas Paul Pierce is clearly a notch below Melo, Lebron and Artest when it comes to strength at his respective position.

Hahhaha I didn't even catch that.

I wonder if BJ and Evans will take the rookie game seriously. That could be television.

Tyreke won a game with his defense two games ago vs the wizards and would have made the game winning steal the next game if not for a no-call a.bogut push in the back. I think hes already a player that does it on both sides of the court...I was mad on draft night when we picked Tyreke when Jennings was on the board, but well done Geoff Petrie. NBA.com had him at 9 last week for there race to the MVP, and after these two games hes only going higher. Good time to be a kings fan again, I really like the young team we have.

                        Who isn't sold yet?

Every night, 'Reke shows us why he's the real deal. He is the leader on the Kings. He's already taken the role of a superstar player. I'm not saying he's a super-star already, but he plays that role on this Kings team, yet he's only 20.

20pts, 5ast, and 5rebs ...Rookies to have done it MJ, LeBron, and (I think) Magic or Bird...Nice crew to be in if you ask me.

edit: Whoops...my bad it was Oscar Robertson.
