As someone who watched every single one of his games at UConn, yes. that's exactly what I'm saying.

He has a looooooooong way to go.

I heard the same thing about him going to UConn. He only needs to rebound and block shots....24 mpg....that is all he has to do.

I understand what you're saying and I agree to a point... that point is just below becoming a good NBA player for me. Nowadays, especially, the type of height these two have make it easier to excel in some way on the college level. I did watch Hibbert improve (I'm in the Gtown area but really a Terps fan) but I never saw one time when I could see him being dominant. Even defensively I thought he should've been better by the time he left school. I could be wrong, I haven't seen him much in the pros so far. I feel the same about Thabeet but I think you agree with me in terms of him (I don't know if he'll ever be ready for the NBA pace). I could see Thabeet being good in the Chandler role on a team with Chris Paul. I don't consider that a success.

I agree to some extent but the nature of the gtown offense is one that doesn't give big men the best chance to succeed. He improved because he wanted to and because of the older fellas working with him. He'll never be dominant because he isn't physically capable of it. He'll max out at around 14-16 pts a game. Indiana probably isn't the best system for him either considering they like to run but it could be good in the long run.

Yeah... Wizards wanted Thabeet in the draft too.

I just dram of him on the Hawks (only if Hasheem can reach his max potential defensively and get much better than he probably ever can offensively) to match up with Josh Smith...

Wiz did not want Thabeet. We already had Javale who is just as good at blocking shots and is much better on the offensive side.
